@@tastiGMmaster2099 yes and no. I think the problem is the hitting and wounding on 3+ with just so few shots. Yes we have the rerolls, but that somehow is not enough, compared to what other anti-tank units are capable of. They are way more consistent most of the times. And I feel consistency is worth a ton of points. That even led me to consider playing a lord as a leader of the 3 man unit.

I think the maths would favour just bringing an extra destroyer over bringing the lord as leader to get the +1 to hit in the right dynasty and the lethal on 5s not 6s. it's still gonna feel bad if you roll 3 2's without one though

@@tajj7 Guard got a large refresh a bit more than a year ago, but a lot of the old stuff is either still there or not significantly worse than the new kits. I would say that the only genuinely new stuff that people use is Leontus, followed by Ursula and the Rough Riders, and occasionally a Dorn.

Guard got a huge model wave release barely over a year ago with their 9th ed release... and prior to that, they've had a steady release of recuts & redo's of all their tanks across 5th, 7th & 8th editions. Plus multiple Kill Team kits to boot. And Guard are slated to get yet ANOTHER large release wave with all the Krieg stuff in the pipeline! After 10th ed, Guard can go sit at the back of the line and wait until 12th or 13th edition before they whine for more stuff... 1kSons, Grey Knights, Dark Eldar, Votann, World Eaters, Custodes... even Death Guard could use some love by this point.

I mean they primarisized the sternguard so I could see tac squad getting that treatment. But, a tac squad is basically intercessors with some extras, so I could see them instead making a “tactical upgrade kit” which would be a box of just the heavy weapon guys, and you seed them into intercessor kits you have. Especially if you can only get one of each type of special weapon per kit, that’s something they’d do.

It's worth noting, bladeguard are a good kitbashing base. I made two LTs and a chaplain from a box of them, after I already assembled two other boxes as a 6man bladeguard squad. I like having options lol

Rules certainly drives sales. Indonexpect some of the units on the list to be bought by collectors and painters. Models such as jump pack assault intercessors are a much welcomed upgrade to the iconic jump pack assault marine.

Primary reason in this instance was that he was using sales data from a US-only retailer who only sells in USD, so he could give a USD GWRRP Vs Warlord Discounted price as a plug for them. You can look up UK prices easily enough - e.g. Gladiator is $92 RRP, (£72.59) $78 Warlord, and over here in the UK is listed as £57RRP ($72.24). £48.44 with Element or £45.60 with Wayland, (exrate at time of writing).

One of the reason people are buying lots of Tau Crisis Suits is because the kit doesn't come with enough guns in the box to make ANY of the three Crisis units in the Codex (Sunforge, Fireknife, Starscythe). You HAVE to buy several boxes to model the weapon loadouts available in the Codex.

Interesting that Custodes and Mechanicus, the two most disliked codexes in 10th edition, don't have any units in the top 25. Only factions with codexes made the list(ignoring 2 units of divergent marine chapters), although I would guess Custodes and Mechanicus have the least players of those factions regardless of the reaction to their codexes.

Pure coincidence that several new / shelved products got extreme buffs like the land raider redeemer. Fortunately there are amazing 3d models of the landraider so i printed the 4 i needed. Its a little expensive to stay competitive in wh40k as games workshop sales department is like a child madly swinging at the buff and nerf button depending on ehat is new/need to sell. And nerfed as soon as all competitive lists are using them. No test period or anything to protect us from their bs. No go be wrecked by the newly released 700€ worth plastics or buy them. Great job.
