@@Ziovo Hey man, so glad it was a help to you! I think you'll love it! Yes, that was also my main reason for upgrading, the Rode Videomic pro is great for on the go and travel, vlog, etc. but for talking head videos, it really does help :)

@@AndrikLangfield Yeah exactly! Already got it setup (thanks to you) haha and it's way better! Just wondering if you had or plan to make any tutorials on how to best edit the lav Audio in Audition (unless the audio you had wasn't edited in post). If you won't be making a tutorial I'd really appreciate if we can get in touch and I'll try to make it up to you in any way you think is fair :)

How do I erase recording files on my DR 10L that I’m not going to use.
@AndrikLangfield8 ай бұрын
You can delete them through your computer when you're transferring your recordings, this is what I usually do. You can also format the card in the settings.
@BenjaminRobertMuir3 жыл бұрын
The DR-10L doesnt support any SD cards bigger then 32GB. Interesting how everyones YT tutorial doesnt no this. But super important for anyone buying it new and ordering a new card.

What do you usually set your gain level at in your DR-10L? It seems most use M, but it looked like you had it on high. Thanks for the vid!
@AndrikLangfield3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I usually have it on High for myself as I tend to talk a little quieter, so high works for me but only knowing I have a backup track recording at a lower db so that in the rare occasion I peak, I can then bring it down with my backup track 👍🏻 but I find that when I set levels for most other people i do set it at Medium most of the time :)

I am an editor and I have a partner that records on the DR-10L ... his files are showing up in post as a stereo track with only left side audio. Do you know how to set the recorder so I get a dual mono or just mono track from him?
@petercofrancesco9812 Жыл бұрын
Set Setting 7 to Mono instead of Poly 3:27

The auto and limiter confused me with Matt's video why have those settings of you are using dual recording
@AndrikLangfield3 жыл бұрын
Hey, good question, I can't remember Matt's settings for the dual record but if he wasn't using the dual record then that would make sense to have auto and limiter turned on, but if you have the dual record turned on, then I don't see the point in letting the Tascam throttle your levels. I rather it clip and then have a backup track that I can layer in post to replace the clipped audio sections. As for the limiter, it's the same thing, I apply a limiter in post after I EQ and run an audio compression, in case there are any claps or loud hits that I missed, almost as a last safety net. I can also see Matt liking the auto setting as he does a lot of weddings, and during speeches, it's very unpredictable how loud or quiet a speech might be and that way he doesent need to always be changing the gain and dual recrod threshold.

@@AndrikLangfield ya I think he is a set it and forget it kinda guy which honestly I get because the people watching won't really pick it up and the sound tends to be really good. I just got the tascam today ots so small I was just using it. I freaking love the little belt clip thing haha
