It took a lot of time & trial and error for me to find shoes for my kids that I am really happy with. My hope is that this video saves you some time in finding healthy footwear for the kids in your life.

Fantastic démo,Yoni. But I am a very old lady, just passed 80, still able to go trekking. What would tout suggest as daily shoes for m'y daily routine outdoor ? Thanks for your answer. Josiane.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Without an examination it's hard to say what would be best for you specifically. But in general, you would want a show with a wide toebox, some flexibility in the sole and an amount of padding that is appropriate for the surfaces you're walking on (less foam/padding on natural surfaces and more on man-made surfaces). I hope that helps.

Do you have recommendations for waterproof and cold weather shoes? It rains a lot where I live and winter is here. My son (shoes size 1 us) needs something for this cold wet weather.

Hello my daughter has flexible flat feet and I just wanna know if these would be good for her too. I’ve been doing research and I’ve only found some videos shows a sturdy sole and heel will help straighten out her feet and help with her arch. My daughter is small kids size 11. She’s tall for her age she’s only 4.

Hi Yoni, if my son has pronation in both feet, are barefoot style shoes still good for that?
@painfixprotocol11 ай бұрын
It's hard to say for certain without an examination. But, in general, increasing sensory input and muscular demand in a growing foot is going to help facilitate proper development.

I need to start strenghting my feet..I have been orthotic dependent for well over 20 years...I want to be able to switch to barefoot shoes but my feet are too week and when I try to not wear orthotics i get almost immediate back pain and hip tightness.

I completely understand, coya. I've heard the same thing from many people. With long-standing foot problems, it's very important to think of the transition to barefoot shoes as a process (not an event). Sometimes people will use their orthotics inside barefoot shoes as a part of their process. It may be something to consider.

Do any of these shoes help with flat feet? Im 33 years old, and my foot pain has gotten worse. I've noticed all 3 of my kids feet seem to be flat or have collapsed arch. My oldest is 8 and he does complain that his feet hurt. I usually buy him sketchers or puma. I think he would need something more beneficial?

Great question, Sophia! The answer is yes - footwear that allows the foot to assume its natural position/shape and increased sensory stimulation have been shown to strengthen the intrinsic muscles of the feet and actually increase arch height. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpu1nndojtSph6s But there are also different kinds of flat feet - that is discussed in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6HEp6eHjaxgg68

My best shoe is one with no padding.

Thanks for commenting! Can I ask why you prefer shoes with no padding? What benefits do you notice?

@@painfixprotocol My feet and toes have to grip the insoles and floor more; it seems to help tone my legs. Also, much cooler, not hot and clammy the way cushioned shoes are. My favorite pair were all leather, inside and out, with no cushion at all, but a good arch support, which was not cushiony, but more firm. (No longer have them; wore them out.) Thanks for your video.

I would recommend Hykes Kids barefoot shoes

Thanks for the recommendation! They look very similar to the Saguaros - might be made in the same factory.

But I need arch support so what do I do
@painfixprotocol3 ай бұрын
Good question. If it were me, I would select a highly flexible, zero drop shoe with a wide toe box and swap out the insoles for one with arch support.
