@@Hysteriafish828 this Krefelder aka GIV should know a bit more about what is healthy to eat or drink - you should avoid any type of soda even if it is a diet soda-- the body does not distinguish between sugar and diet sugar - they also cause cancer - carbs are ok - dont restrict - I remember my German relatives eating bread topped with leber wurst and drink tea for dinner - it was yummy - stay away from alcohol- totally bad for body and mind

They mark your receipt so you don't come back in and get more items using the same receipt without paying. Also, when they look at the receipt, they are not looking at the individual items, they look at the total quantity on the receipt and see if it looks like it matches the items in your cart.

Yeah I worked at Costco for awhile. We would look at higher priced items too and the bottom of the cart. No way you're checking everything. I think it's somewhat for show too

The receipt check is a shoplifting deterrent as I was told. They’re quickly checking for big items in the cart is on the receipt as well as number of items looks same as receipt. It also means you can’t reuse a checked off receipt to steal.

One time I bought gift cards. They ring them up and you are supposed to go pick up the actual gift cards at a special door. The receipt checker caught that I had forgotten to go pick them up. So, sometimes it is to help the member.

Also to make sure everything has been rung up. One time, the cashier and the receipt checker missed the big thing of napkins under my cart. Free napkins for me! I would have gone back but it was late and I was really tired by the time I got home and noticed.

True Story: We went to Costco a long time ago and this real BIG lady was lingering around the entrance while my Dad was on the phone, When we finally went inside my Dad pulled out his membership card (while still on his phone) to show the people at the door and that lady and her sister followed closely behind and said to the doorman "He's my husband!". LMAO! if she only knew that they ask for the card at the checkout...

I used to drive a trash truck. One time at the landfill all the landfill employees were gone from their places. I said where is everybody? They were on the radio running to see what was being dumped out of a COSTCO compactor I had signed a contract not allowing scavenging, but I could see new lawn mowers, fishing tackle, camping gear all new, some still in the packaging I could not take anything

Mike - did you know we have Costco in the UK? The layout of the store is exactly the same as the US and they sell the same pizza, chicken bake, hotdog and ice cream. It’s really crazy but one big difference….membership is cheaper than the US!

Mike you should be very careful with those "no sugar" items, the sugar is replaced with artificial sweeteners and they are really toxic. for your health sake please check it out, also you are right avocado is one of the most healthiest things for you to eat, unless you have kidney problems, and kidney problems go hand in hand with diabetes and excessive weight - avocado's are high in potassium and that can be seriously bad for kidney function - love your video's and take care mate - Carl

I lived in Taiwan, and they also have a Costco. Once I got into skinny jeans there. I had like 5 pairs of levis but they hadn't figured out the product design and all the pants were developing holes in the crotch. They were 511s, not 501s. I was super broke and I returned all the jeans as defective . I felt guilty because I didn't even wash them, just got my money back. Also be thankful I don't wear skinny jeans anymore.

Haha nice to meet a babcia in costco! I'm predominantly Polish american and I always hear how chicago has a lot of good Polish foods...sometime I have to visit. BTW! GIV you should do a vlog of daiso japan! It's a japanese 99 cent store chain in LA and you can find some really amazing quality stuff in there. I also reccomend doing one for tokyo central the one in torrance is really cool...i think people would find it interesting and it would make a good vlog because these Japanese stores are local to the area. I also reccomend going to round 1 at the puente hills mall...lots of unqiue claw machines and game machines from japan and i just think all this stuff would be interesting.

Your COSTCO in America looks exactly the same as the one here in Ringwood, Melbourne, the same layout, products, everything. The weirdest thing I've ever seen for sale in COSTCO is a coffin, hey, but each to his own I guess. Your takeaway food is heaps cheaper and we don't get refills on the drinks. Costco makes all their profits from selling memberships. They make very little profit off their food items. That is how the company was set up, following the teachings of Mr. Price of Price club who the owner of Costco used to work for do in San Diego years ago

👍 MIKE I shopped at Costco‘s in 41 of the 50 states in the United States and I will tell you in my opinion it is by far the most popular place to shop for just about everything that you need for your car your home yourself it’s just fantastic and every COSTCO is different as far as supplies so they’re not all 100% the same… Phenomenal video keep doing what you’re doing. I love the channel and most important is that you have a very good attitude and you treat people with respect and it’s fun fun fun when you see how it’s done, I call you the multicultural intercultural and cross cultural genius you get along with everybody and that’s a quality that’s very rare🇺🇸🙏⭐️🌎

Mike, just so you know, there is a BIG difference in quality between the reading glasses at .99¢ store and the $15-$30 readers at Costco or a CVS. The 99¢ glasses are really bad for your eyes! Please don't use those cheap glasses. We ❤ GIV. Tell your mom we said Hi!👋

When I bought a new house a couple of years ago my mom said, we've got to go to Costco and get you a membership, but I put it off. Now I see videos of people talking about how great the food is at CostCo and of course how much cheaper it is to buy paper towels and other household stuff in bulk. Two comments....... 1) you can tell the ripe melon by the stem .... If it’s green it was picked too early and will not be as sweet.... tan or light brown melons were picked ripe... 2) Costco have great margins of profit because they buy in massive bulk volume themselves ...
