Pond snails seem to only be a bad snail because they breed like crazy. I personally like them. I just pull some out every now and then and they become puffer food. Also, pond snails eat hydra.

They're called "Mystery Snails" because they mysteriously appear and reappear in the tank. Great vid btw!

Those look more like Malayan trumpet snails than bladder snails. Many people have mixed feelings about Malayan trumpets because on one hand they eat algae and rotting leaves, but on the other hand they breed like rabbits. Assassins are always a good remedy to that.

I love bladder snails. They're cute, active, and they can swim on the surface if there's not too much agitation which is fun to watch. The snail in the video is not a bladder snail.

I haven’t had an issue with assassins and larger decorative snails before, however I have had an issue with them choosing not to eat MTS Also, they’re called mystery snails because of a few reasons, but the dominant is that they mysteriously disappear and reappear due to their burrowing nature

I have wondered what the reason why my Assassin's seem to have no interest in my soon to be extinct MTS ? They have been in the same aquarium together for 18 months and I have decided to upgrade everything to once and FOREVER have 0 MTS or any pest snails period !!!!

I have a nerite snail and they are good with keeping the aquarium clean. I hate to eggs that they lay in the tank.

I have a new tank and have started with one black 2cm long snail. It burrows into the substrate on occasions, is this a mystery snail? Once the tank gets established should I get more?

Hi! If you like to watch snails sure more would be fine. 2 cm is too large to be a predator assassin snail so you are safe…but it’s not necessarily a mystery snail could be a large nerite snail 🐌
