Thank you for all your hard work bud 🙏🏽 You’re always there with all kinds of information to help us who can’t afford a proper education in 3D. Legit bro, blessings.

I loved Headus UV Layout before 2017, but I needed FBX support and retained material IDs, with the ability to import higher poly meshes. Rizom UV is my choice for that.

I wish modo and 3D coat were in this list, as they’re both incredible at UVs.

I do like Modo! Never figured it was a star at UVs till now.
@EightNineOne Жыл бұрын
@@NUCLEARARMAMENT Yeah, it's by FAR the best non-dedicated UV tool. Same goes for retopology. I don't have much first hand with Rizom, but I've heard it's as or nearly as good.

3:35 "Haha benis :DDDDD" time) P.S. UV Layot and Blender with UV Packmaster addon is my choice. I use UV Layour only to Relax and make some Quad UV layers for some meshes the rest I make in Blender. Blender also has Bridge addon for it to avoid messing with export\import meshes.

Does anyone know if headus UVLayout can import fbx? Or can it only import obj ?

I just discovered this software, and I want to ask if there is a software with a free license, or if it is similar, there are also addons for blender 03:16

Odd that the list didn't include 3D Coat, we know your channel is quite aware of its capabilities. Perhaps you we tackling single-purpose software in this list this time. Good info as always tho, thanks!

does 3d coat have a legit flattening system for UVS? I use it for cutting seams and unwrapping, but for flattening I dont find it very robust

@@skrolreapr I am unaware of this. I will take a look and see. Thanks for pointing it out.

RizomUV is the best hands down, it used to be UVLayout, which is still not that bad though UI-wise it's a bit of a joke. Roadkill (inside of Maya and other Autodesk programs) wasn't too bad either.
