R4 is more a full frame stills camera..... The FX30 is an APSC camera that is part of Sonys cinema line. What you should be comparing the FX30 to is the A7S3 or FX3.

Hi Kraig, great videos! I have an A6000 and am considering the Sony 21mm f1.8 as an all-purpose, compact lens that can also perform well for interior wide-angle images. What are your thoughts or recommendations?

Tamron trio of 2.8 lenses. Weather sealed, amazing macro and fantastic image and build quality. All purchaed new for less than 200 smackers. Small autofocus lens that kills it, ROKINON 24mm AF F/2.8 FE. Another under 200 used beauty. Sony 50 mm bah humbug. BTW Terrific videos..to the point without the fluff

First of all I have to say that I loooove your content and I enjoy watching your videos! Could you please make some videos about Sony dslr cameras? Is there any good dslr that can be compared to Sony nex series, both in terms of price and image quality? I have made a quick research and I found some good cameras (according to my non professional opinion), like: Sony a55 Sony a35 Sony a65 Sony a77 (the most interesting to me) Sony a57 Sony a37 Sony a58 Sony a77 II Sony a68 I hope that one of these cameras have enough predispositions to be opponent to incredible Sony nex series! And also I hope that you would make something about this topic! Thank you in advance!

I want to get two lenses. One lenses to record gym content. Or take nice pictures while hanging out with friends and family and another lense that’s good for record my kids performances. I usually sit in the back of the auditorium.

Lots of the sigma primes are great. Many of them are more expensive than these lenses. Was trying to keep the price down for beginners and give a good spread.

Hi there! Any of these will work with any Sony E mount camera. There are some Sony A mount cameras, but they are pretty uncommon to come across. Most consumer cameras from Sony use this lens mount, every single Sony camera I have uses this lens mount as well. So yes, practically speaking this is the only lens mount that you’ll find for you Sony cameras in 2024

Looking for cheapest copies is often counter productive as they are more likely have optical misalignment or other issues.

Maybe, but maybe not. A lot of people don’t have $1-2K to invest in a lens right away. Certainly could be better for someone to pick up a $200 lens to get started creating content and then upgrade later.
