BEST SOUNDING 2021 BMW M3 G80 - INSANELY LOUD EXHAUST SETUP!

Hey KZbin fam! Here's the long awaited video demonstration of my downpipe + Valvetronic equal length single mid-pipe setup on the G80. Special thanks to Austin and Phil from Valvetronic Designs for creating this video. It was awesome hearing my car from the outside for once!
Quick review - I absolutely love this setup. It works with the factory valve control so it's quiet or loud when you want it. In efficient mode, it's quiet and just slightly louder than stock. I commute in this car daily in that mode. It's full race car loud in Sport+ when you're joyriding and just the right balance between the two in Sport. I was concerned about rasp after the downpipe but the single midpipe keeps the deep aggressive tone that the duals don't have. I highly recommend this setup!

Vavletronic definitely makes the best sounding G80 M3 exhaust. At WOT, there are hints of the V12 in there since this is half of that, similar to the Audi RS3 inline 5 exhaust and it’s similarity with the V10.

But I totally follow it has catless dp, and single mid pipe, but does it have the stock mufflers assembly or does it have the valvetronic mufflers? The link in your description hows the whole assembly not just mid pipes.

It's equal length at the downpipes but it's a single mid. SSR catless downpipes but I don't recommend those as they are not flex. I had to weld. Get any flex catless DP. They're all the same. That's all I had here. Stock muffler.

Yeah I don't understand neither alos the mid pipe are double tube on stock exhaust but the valvetronic is single tube how do you make a single tube equal length ? Or it is referring to the downpipes ?

I heard that too about stock being equal length but it must be a lie. Otherwise these equal length exhaust system wouldn't sound that diffirent from stock. This sounds NOTHING like other S58 cars with custom exhausts. Completely different with this equal length set up.

Not trying to hate, just sharing my opinion here. But i much prefer the sound of the S55 engine over this. This sounds like a Nissan VQ to me, and lacks any sort of depth or “roughness” that inline 6’s are infamous for. (if i was just hearing the audio i’d easily mistake this for a 350/370z). Maybe in person it’s a different story but over camera i’m not sold.

To be fair, the s55 and stock s58 don’t sound like a straight 6 either. They have 18 inches of deviation between downpipe lengths and the result is they sound like 3 cylinders and there’s no crossover pipe of any sort In the stock systems to merge puleses from the two pipes. Even when a crossover pipe is incorporated the massive deviation between downpipe lengths still makes the car sound like a can am maverick. The key to changing the sound is an equal length midpipe. An s55 with an equal length midpipe sounds pretty great but the midepipe itself looks like a pole and a spaghetti noodle paired together.
