BEST SPAGHETTI PIE RECIPE | HUSBAND TAKEOVER | COOK WITH US

I'm so glad you are back for another delicious recipe! Todays video is my husband, also known as Bunkey, cooking his signature dish, Spaghetti Pie! This is always a crowd pleaser, can feed an entire family, and is amazing reheated for lunch the next day! It's super simple and super delicious! So grab your coffee or sweet tea and come cook with us! Can't wait for you to try it!
Spaghetti Pie Recipe:
Ground meat
Boil noodles
Pre-heat oven to 350 or 375
Drain meat after cooking
Add half jar of spaghetti sauce
Let sit
Drain noodles and toss them with butter in a 9x13 baking dish
When a little cooler, add 2 beaten eggs and mix noodles together
create a well in the center of noodles for meat and sauce
Add meat and sauce to noodles, top with remaining red sauce
Add ricotta and all other cheese: Mozzarella and Parmesan
Cover with tin foil and cook for about 15-20 mins
uncover the tin foil and cook another 15 mins.

I’ve been making some thing like this since I was a kid. It was called spaghetti crust pie and was in the Betty Crocker‘s cookbook for kids. You actually put it in a pie pan and add Parmesan cheese to the egg and butter mixture before you put it with the noodles. Then you put sliced cheese on top about 5 to 10 minutes before it’s done cooking. One of my favorite spaghetti dishes.😋

@@suedel51 they say it in the video and there is another two fall videos where they are making it. One a couple yrs old and she is decorating their porch with pumpkins and a bail of straw. They other one is a year old and again decorating the porch for fall but they go over to her parents house to bake and eat it.

I’ve made this twice so far! It’s going in my recipe book! This time I made one the regular way and one with Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce and ground beef. It’s really good, too. Reminds me of “spasagna” at Cheddars restaurant In Asheville

Made the famous spaghetti pie. It was really good. Did remind me of spasagna that used to be on Cheddars menu. My husband is not crazy about spaghetti but likes lasagna so this is a great alternative for us!

I had this for dinner tonight and it was ok. I think I would like it a bit better with more sauce and a spread out layer of ricotta rather than the dollops. I was missing having extra sauce in my spaghetti to dip my garlic bread in.

Decided to make this tonight. l am terrible about reading recipes. Thought I remembered it correctly....Forgot the eggs. Used cottage cheese instead of ricotta because that’s what I had on hand. Hope it turns out ok! In the oven now.

Cooking it in a large 9x13 is really smart. Last time I did two pie pans and one didn't turn out. I may do this next time I make spaghetti pie.

Prego is the best out of the jar speggetti sauce I used to make home made and it cooked for at least 3:to 4 hours but now I just buy Prego when in sale and Hunts in the tall can they are just as good but cheaper and I love watching you and spunky you guys have so much fun together till next time

Just a hint - if you put a tiny drop of oil in the pan with your water and pasta then it doesn't stick :)
