Best Speaker Stands Under £100?

I'm so glad that you're still acting as clown 😄 Please don't hear what others say, just keep making your videos as you do. Your videos are the most entertaining Hi-Fi regarded videos I've seen. BTW I have similar stands and I really like them. At first filled them all up with cat litter but sounded little dead , then tried 3/4 and the sound become exactly as I like it, open and full.

I am honestly so happy that you bought these excellent stands for a reasonable price, and that you resisted the temptation to spend unrealistic sums of money for the other ones. The soundstage is actually very good in both cases, but the bass is better with stands, that is my opinion. (by the way, I almost went to church to pray three times a day so that you would make the right decision 🙂)

You are spoiling us with the sound comparisons over the past few weeks. Now, who doesn't love a sound comparison? I can remember a while back trawling the internet looking for speaker stands to buy. There are three categories. Cheap and nasty. You wouldn't want to put your pride and joys anywhere near them. The absolutely ridiculous 'audiophile' market stands. Check out Artesania stands. £12k, for some wood and glue! I guess they are as dense as me, but that's another story. Even if they contained unicorn farts and Boris Johnson's conscience, you'd never get me parting with that sort of cash for them. Then, as Martin has shown, it is possible to strike a happy balance between quality and price. I would quite happily adorn my living room room with those stands. Cheers mucka. Wow! Never seen Steve Guttenberg break the screen with one punch! Stands really do help. I had mine on stools for years. My sound improved when I got some Rockwell stands.

Decent Stands, but think they are a little high for the Aura 2? I bought some cheap stands as well, the ones warfedale makes for them is only 19 inches high.

I bought a similiar pair and filled them 3/4 with sand. However if you decide too, id super glue the edge of the wood as the weight of the sand pushed the bottom plate away. I think the MDF was on the soft side, you might have a better quality one..(hopefully) i liked the generous size of the top plate compared to most stands.

I thought the treble was more defined when they were sat on the DO5’s but that may have been the extra height bringing it more in line with the microphone. I agree the stands sounded more rounded overall though

The best speaker stands are the (fairly) local second hand ones at a fraction of their new price, preferably ‘thrown in’ as part of a pair of undervalued vintage loudspeakers.

I have those type stands, a little different and mine are not as nice that aside i couldn't be more happy with them. Mine are faux leather and wood effect although the wood effect is like a vinyl wrap but it's very thin so you must be careful, yours look slightly better made on the front effect front. For the money they are excellent. Btw I am impressed by the effect you put into your videos with the editing and little effects. You are very rare on that front and the effect is much appreciated. I can tell from your voice that you're from my dad's country, he was from Buckley North Wales. Miss Wales but living down south makes getting there hard.

Any chance you could give us the measurements of the top plate? The official measurements are are 48cm by 28 cm, but that does not specify whether these are the measurements of the base or to top plate. Thanks in advance.

A thousand pounds for a set of speaker stands, what were they made of, crushed unicorn and coated in fairy tears !!!!!!!, the ones you actually brought look great though and wont ring like a bell as they are mdf. You do your home work and get some great kit.
