To me, Vader embodies fear, both figuratively and literally. His presence alone makes others afraid, but he is also consumed by it, locked in a cage, afraid of his own and others' actions. Luke must try to conquer his fear of Vader to help Vader conquer his.

Great work, I’m looking forward to part 3 and the 3rd part of Luke’s journey (Return of the Jedi). Honestly I wouldn’t bother doing episodes 7 and 8 from the sequel trilogy they just didn’t do Luke’s character justice.

It's interesting to note that while Anakin got a visible robotic hand, Luke got one that is covered in flesh and looks natural. Which visually shows that both of them made some bad decisions but at the most crucial point Luke stayed human and made the right choice while Anakin was consumed by his fears - and the more it consumed him the more robotic he became.

My favorite movie. I love The Empire Strikes Back so much, I'd marry it. And my favorite part of ROTJ is The Battle of the Sarlaac Pit when Luke went from calm, reasonable person to a frikking buzzsaw cutting those scumbags to pieces left and right. It is a shame Ruin JohnSUCK deprived us of seeing Luke Skywalker and giving us Jake Skywalker.

Yeah it the like guy only watch a new hope and ESB gloss over ROTJ and TLJ is just a repeat of Luke arc that he already succeeded in ROTJ.
