It doesn't mather to me who invented these techniques as long as they work, or who presented them to public, but these techniques this guy is teaching they realy work.

I have yet to see a training video on a horse that will buck at you even trying to halter and lead rope train. Basically training a horse from the very start. I see most of these guys using trained horses.

@gmd1417 Just because Monty was first on the bandwagon doesn't mean he invented it - He did NOT invent these methods, he just popularised them with his knack of getting publicity.

Oh yeah, you should still read his book if you haven't already.

The video quality makes it very difficult to see how he put pressure on the opposite side of the horse's head to make him turn left, and it's not explained except to "put pressure" on his nose. I don't understand how you can put pressure on something that's facing away from you to draw it toward you.

If you would read Monty Robert's book you would know that he gives credit to all those horsemen for centuries before who learned to speak Equus.

gmd1417 ? Did you think that Mr Monty Roberts invented these techniques? OR .. perhaps has he utilized some basic knowledge of successful techniques used by horse people for centuries to communicate with their equine friends? So who actually deserves the so called credit I wonder? Lol Very nice video. Enjoyed it - Thankyou

This is basically Monty Robert's techniques, he is the one who deserves the credit here.

Monty Roberts doesn't claim to have invented this technique. Read his book and you'd know that.

I'm sorry but no he doesn't. Bill and Tom Dorrance set the foundation for todays methods. This includes all the "celebrity" trainers and anyone training for a living. They weren't the first either. Tom wrote a book called 'True Unity'. No program or method for purchase replaces what Tom wrote about.
