Just put the Pyle amp w/ 2 speaker pairs sold as a kit into my boat and was decently satisfied. No sub, but fairly good reproduction across the spectrum. I was planning on doing the cooler stereo with a second kit, but I realize the importance of sub speakers. I am going to go with your setup and do one pair of 2-ways, one pair of subs. Cheers.

Out of all the countless video I seen this one is the best. It's not bland but It's not over the top heavy system either. I will make somthing simliar to this but two other things. A wall beer opener mount and a car cigarrette lighter, fans . Maybe sound damping, do you think adding sound damping Will boost sound quailty. Also those subs didn't need to be in a box? Why? I'm uneducated when it comes to speaker audio. But I want to make audiophile proud. Hope. To hear from you soon.

Thanks for the compliment, I'm guessing the subs acted accurately with the inclosed box but...... I was debating adding a base port on the side for sound quality..... But when opening the cooler just a cracked to notice the sound difference, it actually sounded cleaner but all depends on type of music... So that hip-hop music sounded better with the cooler / box slightly open.... But different Edm songs sounded cleaner and tight when the base would hit... Let me know if you have more questions, I'm going to experiment more being that it's getting close to summer

blks2k06 I meant Edm sounded cleaner with the cooler closed.... Dampening might improve over all sound but hardly noticeable unless you are standing close to it.... My first video of the Edm that was like 15 seconds sounded perfect to me...

Nice set up. Best one of the many ive just seen on youtube. Mostly because no head unit.. Whats the name of the aux plug you used? and do you know if there is something similar for bluetooth? I would rather have blue tooth to ensure everything stays dry when on the water. Unfortunately its to late for me to build one for this year, im floating on the river regatta in laughlin in 2 days. Nice cooler, I have just started my cooler build that is similar to this. Quick question, are the 6 inch subwoofers marine speakers? If not do they need to be, I plan on using this while floating the river. Also do you think I can use one 8 inch subwoofer with this amplifier instead of the two 6 inch subs? I know that the amp is not bridgeable and it would only run from one channel, leaving the other channel for tweeters possibly?

I searched for Pyle marine 6" sub on Amazon and that's what came up... they are not marine, but I used waterproof silicone sealant around the sub and in the screws and it worked fine even wet. I'm not sure u would want to use the other channel due to them being one for right and one for left, might sound off. u can try it before you cut a hole for the speaker. let me knw . thanks for watching ! good luck

Nice chest! I just built my own. BIG QUESTION for you! Will that Pyle amp connect to a second amp? Does it have RCA in and out? I have a two channel amp powering my 2 speakers and a 10" subwoofer. I want to buy that 4ch 800 watt Pyle amp (PLMRMP3A) you have to push just my speakers so I can have my current amp push just my sub. But the two amps have to connect to each other with an RCA in/out

I was looking to do the same, but this amp does not have rca in , only outs .... I will probably upgraded the amp to a 4ch that I can control the low freq (subs) and the high freq (mids/highs) good little setup and was successful at the Laughlin regatta .... It even took a faceplant on the river and picked it up , put it back on the tube and played just fine . 👍

What did you do about the amp over heating? i build a very similar set-up and my amp gets pretty hot. Im scared to run it more than a hour or so with the lid closed. Was your second cooler what helped keep a good temp or did you just run it hot?

Hey so I plugged my amp in have the same one just black, but nothing. Checked the battery to make sure it was dead but it powered up the head unit. How do you know if the amp is powered on? Does it light up?

IamCcam Ok so hooked them together and it’s working! But.. yours seems so loud in the video mine with full volume probably isn’t even louder than my beats pill. Speaker wise I’ve got 2 6.5s pyles like yours and 2, 5in pyles. Volume control is on all the way. Didn’t mess with Gaines or anything. Just seems like it would be louder. Any ideas? Thanks man

Turn the gain all the way up... In the amp behind the rubber cover, make sure that the lid is fully closed too :) people posted bad reviews on amazon before doing so. Try it lmk

What's up Olle, depends on the battery you get, any battery from 8ah-10ah it should last full volume 4-6 hours , I purchased 2 8ah as you can see on my second video I made 2 brackets for 2 batteries just in case ;)

+Drake Bertucci if you meant "what kind of speakers I used" then its 2 pyle 6.5 marine speakers and 2 pyle 6 inch subs. you can add tweeters if you like as there is an additional hookup on the subs for them. Up to you, not a requirement. I will be doing an additional video with a new build with more specific instructions. thanks!!

Question, I have the amp system from Pyle just like you. Where did you hook up the remote wire to from the amp? I ran the remote wire a straight to the switch so I can turn on and off the stereo and the amp would not turn on even after I had the power and ground wire connected to the switch as well. However, if I REMOVE the switch out the equation and connect the remote to the power wire that goes straight from the amp to the 12V 9aH battery the amp works... I'm lost... Can you help?

very good observation, so what I did was the same thing, I connected the blue acce wire to the red power wire together, I spliced it, into one wire to connect to the power switch....then the wire from the switch to the red terminal on the battery... let me know if you have problems
