I started training with rings at home during COVID. Now that the gyms are open I’m training with rings 3 days a week. Basic, working on holds three sets of 60:seconds.L sit , pulls, dips. I’m 67 years old.

It really hits hard to me. I worked for 3+ years consistently and got in shape and strong in a way that i really liked. Since the pandemic i struggle trying to find how to optimise or get a better routine, without consistency... That's leaded to me decrease my results and only want to the past. Thanks for your words

The fundamentals are always the GOAT. As much as I love doing muscle-ups to show off, basic pull-ups and dips remain my go-to for regular strength development.

Great presentation 😁 I'm no expert but as you say these complicated excersises are no good. I would well imagine all you doing is showing off and putting a lot of extra pressure on your joints. That's my opinion and way.

How do you don't run out of energy when you are shredded like that 🤔?
@justinklenk5 ай бұрын
The best/easiest/healthiest way is to eat (and largely subsist on) a ton of healthy fats (particularly medium-chain triglycerides - MCTs - like coconut oil) for stable, quality energy and for the way they shift the state of your metabolism toward preferentially burning fat... And then get the carbs you do ingest from a ton of vegetables, plus whatever fruit you want (in order to get your sweet tooth/sugar fix, amidst the other benefits of berries/fruits), whenever you want. LIVE on those things, those ingredients - have only them in the house, and definitely "cheat" whenever the hell you want to - if you're into eating as healthily/intelligently/wisely as you can, those exceptions should and will be brief, infrequent, and exceptions you can appreciate and just enjoy. This should become easy, quick, powerful, and enjoyable knowledge that then stands the test of time. Getting shredded is quick and easy for me, knowing the truth of these matters, honestly. I've rarely ever not been shredded, and I eat exactly as much or little as I damn well please - of GOOD shit.

@@justinklenkit also depends on the body's natural set point, like a previously 300 lbs person will have a hard time staying lean as compared to someone who started skinny :)

@@raven_movement I hear you on that - an individual organism's metabolic balance determining that individual's ballpark physique and weight (all things being equal, of course) - but what I'm talking about here is the solely _nutritional_ ability we actually DO have at our immediate disposal to quickly lose bodyfat - no matter _what_ body type, metabolism, and physiological setpoints a person has. (As long as you give yourself ALL the additional calories you do need for any/all athletic expenditures, using only high-value complex carb sources, along with the additional fats/proteins/vegetables you'd logically assume to utilize, in their proportion. That's not only okay, but necessary - but when losing bodyfat, then even those non-veggies complex carbs - like potatoes/beans/quinoa/etc/etc/etc - should be kept to whatever minimum you can HAPPILY manage, eating tons of healthy fats, and increased protein and vegetables, INSTEAD, to try to make sure you have enough daily brain and physical energy from them while still causing your body to prefer to mainly both live on AND burn/mobilize fats, fats, _FATS!!!_ Especially as the only thing in your belly/gut during your intermittent "fasting" hours! 👍 Stable, dense, high-quality energy for brain and body, that barely takes up any volume in your gut during the day, giving your whole digestive system that metabolic break, to just let you thrive, provided there's enough energy supplied.)

It’s easy, train 4 to 6 hours a day like a competitive gymnast and “BOOM” you will have a great body.
