This is the saw I bought. I’ve had it for about 6 months and I use the piss out of it. I absolutely love it and everything was perfectly tuned in right out of the box! There are a few more features that you didn’t go over as far as dialing in your saw and this is the EASIEST table saw to make adjustments on. Great review

I wanted to thank you for good honest review on this SKIL TS6307 table saw. I'm shopping for a Job Site Table Saw, and I've been unable to find better option than this very saw. I was looking for a review by someone who's owned this saw for a couple years. Thankfully, your channel came up in the top 5 of the approximations of my search. I'm new subscriber now. Thankful to have found your channel. Thanks again for giving details that weren't covered in the saw's description. I love the option of the dado stack, the ability to cut/rip a 4x4, in single pass. I'm more likely to build a out-feed/work table that this saw sets inside. But still have the option of taking the saw out for those occasions I need it out for whatever. Great Video Brother. Thanks.

Just bought it, and I absolutely love it! My only ONE complaint is the hieght. I'm 6.2" and this table is kind of short. I do have to bend to make my cuts. If I could change one thing about this, it would be the legs. Too bad they are not telescoping. That would have been perfect. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase. Oh and I paid $269 at Menards and got the 11% rebate! 😊

Because my window frames needed replacing, I had the choice of ordering new window frames from the manufacturer or making them myself. After receiving the manufacturer's quote, I decided to make them myself. After studying several YT videos, I finally decided to purchase this table saw. The saw is very pleasant to work with and works quite accurately. Only the conductor has, in my opinion, a little too much tolerance. What particularly surprised me is that the saw cuts through a hardwood beam of 90 mm thickness without any problems. I also like that the saw is lightweight. I did have to make an extra table because the surface of the top is on the small side. Also the dust collection is pretty good but not excellent. It took me a Lott of effort to buy one. Everywhere it was sold out. Just one shop had 3 of them in stock.

Great well covered demo. I've had this saw for about 7 months and it's definitely worth the money. Did change blade to a 50 tooth combination blade and bought a zero clearance insert (35.00 at Etsy). Both are great additions. Ideas for future videos...routing (I have Makita trim router) for novices and how to use this table saw for 45 degree miters. So much to learn....

An excellent review! I love the fact that it can take a dado blade in!! I am not sure if it is the only one that can do but it will be for sure one in a million. A simple request without increasing its price would be to have 110V and 220V available. For the price I have zero complaints: I have spent more money on other job site saws that actually underperform this one by a great margin. As it is stated on the video: anyone wanting to make this saw perform EVEN better shall invest in 2 or 3 performance blades but nobody can really criticise Skip's choice of blade for the price it sells for. I just hope Skil will remain this competitive!

I have the same saw. It works great, and easily portable. The blade that comes with the saw is junk for sure....even a Bauer 40 tooth blade from Harbor Freight is an upgrade LOL. Eventually I'll put a Diablo blade on it though. I also have the Skil SPT99-11 which is a 10" table saw but with a mobile stand and is worm drive. More expensive, but you get a lot more torque for the tougher jobs. Even the saw in the video has tons of power. I can't remember what the model number was of the previous version of the saw shown in the video, but it had a removable stand that folded up, better stand idea, but man the motor on that saw started hard, it would kick on with a very loud bang at startup....the TS6307-00 (saw in the video) is a nice motor upgrade with a much smoother startup. The rack and pinion fence setup makes adjustments smooth and the fence locks in very firmly.

Just something real quick about the blade height. 3 1/2 inches may seem arbitrary for people that are cutting 4 x 4‘s or stacks of two by fours, but when you consider adding a cross cut sled almost always eliminate at least a three-quarter inch portion of the blade, that reduces this saw to 2 3/4” where a different saw would be around (2 3/8?) usable inside your crosscut sled. If you have multiple smaller pieces, this could be the difference between cutting multiple at once, or having to match up and sand fine imperfections later.

Have you had any problems with the blade lift mechanism. I have the Dewalt saw that is very similar to your saw. I had to repair it after less than 2 years. The steel threaded rod wore out the aluminum thread on its raceway (?). I’m sure sawdust was a factor also. Is this mechanism easily accessible to blow out sawdust? Does your saw have a similar system? Overall this appears to be an improvement over my Dewalt. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've owned this saw for a year. It hasn't held up. The motor is failing and the bolts on the tilt/lift and toolless blade adjustment unthread during use causing the blade to go out of alignment while in operation. This is all covered under warranty but the first place Skil had me bring the saw had it for 2 weeks before informing me that they recently stopped working with Skil and to puck up my saw. The second place skil sent me said the electrical issues alone would necessitate a full replacement. Skil is willing to replace it but by the time they do ill have been without my table saw for well over a month. I asked if there was an upgrade path to buy into the 10" worm drive in hopes it's more robust but no such luck. It's a shame, but it looks like the saw just isn't built to last and the warranty has been a real pain to execute. Good luck to others but I want other buyers to be wary that this might not be the best saw for them long term.

@@PatriotDIYI think the reliability issues are more unique than the warranty problems. At the very least they're less common even if underrepresented since i wouldn't expect a job site saw in this price range, marketed to hobbyists, to get as consistent rigorous use as a more storied model from DeWalt. Skil has also made small iterations on the design and materials that aren't well documented but show that they are invested in making a good product. On the warranty side, reports seem pretty consistently bad - these are already probe to poor sentiment since a product failure is already in play but I'm not seeing much praise for Skil's warranty from people who have had to execute on it. The first service center i visited made it sound like Skil frequently denies warranty claims and the service guy at the second shop was quick to say that this is a nice table with a cheap motor that isn't worth the trouble of repairing which is why Skil will always replace rather than repair it once they identify an issue with it.
