Thank you! To answer your question, you can lower it, however, lowering will also destroy the main foundation haha. If you close the lift gate, you can re-open it gently and slowly to its high position. Hope this helps

That Chinese notes is not an instruction for setting up the tent. It is an instruction for wrap film for cars. I think they misplaced in your product.
