Good in depth review. It seems like a great Amazon find, even the fake skin in the kit is great (compared to what I've got in other kits). Cool to come across a Star Of Thelema while watching random tattoo videos (even cooler if you intentionally used it as a prop, 93s if you did).
@FloatyTattoo2 ай бұрын
Thank you! When I bought it I didn't know what the Star Of Thelema was but I had another viewer comment on it a while back. Definitely an interesting ideology, I do connect with the main message, I don't know too much more than that though, just learned what the 93s means thanks to you now, which is also very cool. Thanks again!

This is a great video. Very informative and explanatory. I've been watching a lot and doing some research in general to get started. I wanted a decent kit that had a good machine to use after I practice until I can get another one maybe of higher quality and use this one for back up or maybe it's just good enough and I would get another one similar for a back up just in case. Don't want to be stuck half way through. I know I'll need better ink and stuff before going to skin but this looks like a great deal to start. You have a beautiful reflection by the way. Will look forward to seeing more of your videos, hope your having a great day. 😃

@FloatyTattoo8 күн бұрын
@@CaelynLearce you need to buy thick needles like 1209RL or 1209RS

Hey floaty i recently bought this kit and im extremely happy with it thanks to you . However when im practicing tattooing i like to adjust my needle as far out as the catridge as it will go because i feel like my lines are extremely precise and clean. Is this wrong ? I keep hearing from tattoo artist saying only adjust the needle as far intill when you turn off the machine the needle fully retracts itself back in the cartidge but mine is so far out it dosent . It sticks a good amount when my machine is off. Any thoughts ?
@FloatyTattoo6 ай бұрын
Hey Jaxhess, You are definitely hanging the needle too far out, it should not protrude when the machine is off, that is a major safety issue. When the machine is on the needle should only stick out about half the length of a grain of rice, around 1.5-2mm Hopefully that helps.

I would like to be a tattoo artist but I don't know how to draw. Do Amazon machines work for practice? I'm Dominican and professional machines are very expensive here. Do those from Amazon help?
@FloatyTattoo5 ай бұрын
Please learn how to draw first, you will spend sooooo much more money trying to learn how to draw by practicing tattooing. Yes these machines work great for practicing. But again please learn to draw, just spend your money on pen/pencil and paper for at least a year learning how to draw everyday before you even start practicing tattooing.

It's an okay machine but look you're trying as hard as you can and every one of your lines is crooked.. and the only reason that that's happening is not because of your skill it's because of the pen. It's a cool pen but just like all cheaper equipment it's precision is what is lacking. The travel in the needle cartridge itself and the travel in the motor of the rotary pen is also to blame. And there's nothing you can really do to combat this it's just because you bought a cheaper product and this is where the difference between good stuff and bad stuff directly comes into play. The needles themselves are not machined to a precision where the travel is less than 1 mm or even up to a millimeter is fine but most of these cheaper pens and even coil machines I have found have at least 3 mm of travel and that's why none of your lines are straight it has nothing to do really with you or even with the latex pad cuz it's definitely denser than skin but it's the travel of the cartridges and the travel of the pen.. I tried to find a cheaper solution I tried for years I tried everything and the only thing that worked was me finally breaking down and buying a Cheyenne machine. Oh and to start buying better cartridges too like right now I use Peak Tritons... How will this work for a beginner yeah it'll work but the beginner will get frustrated because they're going to see the travel in their lines and they're going to think it's them and they're going to keep trying to combat that and combat that and it's not really them it's just the needle and the machine itself has side to side wobble that's called travel and the travel on the hen is what designates a really good machine versus a not really good machine of course the motor comes into play too but you're paying really for that precision cuz as long as the engine moves The tattoo artist will find a way.. but you can't defeat the travel
