I did a full-on bug team run before DLCs and Masquerain will always hold a special place in my heart for being the best sticky webber the game could offer that the time. Sometimes she got outsped and could not survive a hit to get the move in, but when she did, I got to perform all the bug shenanigans with the rest of my team. Love that lil moth so much ❤

Fun Fact: If you have the DLC, you can find Heracross a lot earlier than Casseroya Lake. They can appear on Reveler's Road in Kitakami, at around level 13-17 so you could have it around the level you would fight Brassius.

If you continue to make these videos with other mono-type teams (which I’m sure many of us would enjoy) then you should do play throughs with each team or battle against the gyms or something - it’s not a set idea and I’m sure it’ll be something I try for myself with your teams but it would be cool to see the teams you create in game :)

Yeah, Lokix is probably the single best early game bug we've ever gotten. A PHYSICAL Tinted Lens user, with nigh unresisted STAB on the 2 most powerful Priority moves in the game (First Impression and Sucker Punch) and the ability to get out of Dodge with U-Turn. My Chitinous Kin have a lot of amazing new members this gen, including the Honorary Bugs: Hydrapple and Flygon.

Great video Mystic Umbreon. But I am gonna point out a few things for the people who want Araquanid and Heracross earlier. For Heracross you can catch one in Kitakami around level 15 and for dewpider its possible to get it in 2 star raids in blueberry acedemy. Though for blueberry you have to play the story for kitakami a bit then you can go back to paldea to talk to the principle who takes you there. The pokemon and trainers there are all high leveled but you dont have to beat lacey when you get there. The wild pokemon are very high leveled there but you can still access the raids there and catch some blueberry mons like that before beating the main and kitakami story lines.

you can go to Blueberry Acadamy after battling Kerian for the first time in the Teal Mask, but the levels are still around 55 at the lowest.

You can't talk bugs in Scarlet and Violet without mentioning Vivillion and that shield dust ability. I have the Pokéball pattern one, and she helped my capture he loyal 3 and Ogrepon with ease.

i get it but i think the volcarona argument is a really dumb take arguing that leveling up to 59 is harder than trying to get scizor. you can find Larvesta in raid battles at 35 and in asado the pokemon including larvesta are 20-26. training your larvesta with gen 9 mechanics 24 levels is absolutely not that bad. but again, when your talking about a pokemon thats basically a Psuedo, you get that Volcarona. i mean, that argument is made dumber considering how much we gush about garchomp and dragonite.

So I like to do "Gym Leader Teams" where I act as a Gym Leader in training and use only one type of Pokémon, so this series will be helpful in the future. In Gen 9, I also add a Pokémon that doesn't match the type, but does Terastallize into it, since the real Leaders do that already. Also, a couple of corrections: You *can* get Indigo Disk Pokémon early. You're allowed to lose the first fight against Lacey and continue the story and, if you have a Ghost, Run Away or a lot of Poké Dolls, you can look around raid dens until you get the Pokémon you want. Otherwise, what I do is transfer the Pokémon I want along with a Ditto and breed for it. Buy strawberries and jam for an early-game Egg Power sandwich. (Although for some reason, when I did this with Terarium Pokémon the first time, they wouldn't breed before I got the Indigo dex.) The other correction is that you can get Heracross a lot earlier in Kitakami. It spawns on the road to Kitakami Hall.

I already did a mono Bug run, actually...and yeah, Fire base was a challenge, but it's doable...I MIGHT have cheated a bit with the imported Alpha Kleavor though...

Another day of asking you to make a best team for all of the non gen 9 starters while trying to keep from using repeats as much as possible, it's very easy to breed them from Indigo Disk and I feel they deserve it. With the base game and the Teal Mask there are a lot of good options for team members.
