Thanks for some great ideas for Alaska travel. We’re doing our first trip there next month, although just a short 4-day experience to Anchorage. We hope to do a long stay in the future. Thanks again and safe travels. John and Bev

Oh, my goodness… you will love it! I know you’ve probably done your research, but a few food places to look into would be: Granny B’s (hole in the wall, no website, but great for breakfast), Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop, Snow City Cafe, Tommy’s Burgers, Glacier Brewhouse, Moose’s Tooth, Lucky Wishbone (great milkshakes/malts) and Wild Scoops (pay the extra and get the baked Alaska topping with the waffle cone. You’ll thank me later). Have fun! -Sandy

DNR closed the season 2 weeks before i went last time, it was a heartbreaker. So i'm headed back next week, hopefully we will get some big fish.

Alaska is also warm in summer, right?

It absolutely can be warm in summer. We were there a few years ago during a record-breaking heatwave where temps were approaching 90 degrees F.

We drove through Fairbanks on our way to the Arctic Circle, but didn’t have much time to spend there because of a tight schedule. We want to go back to Fairbanks during the winter to hopefully see some Northern Lights, though.

Hi, Melissa. Sorry we are just getting back to you. We took a break from making videos this summer to focus on family, and with my Dad passing away two weeks ago, I haven’t been checking for comments. To answer your question, with so much going on, we just haven’t posted it yet. I apologize for that. We are hoping to get back in the swing of things soon, though.
