I used this on my allotment to catch the Barsteward who was trespassing and lifting stuff, and it was another allotment holder who was the thief. I changed the wifi name to SKY so no one would suspect it was a camera.

Have you tried a Ring Camera - it records and can alert you when motion is detected. Also, a Siren can be triggered if needed. Plus it has two way communication, night vision and lights that go on when motion is triggered.

If you want to see recording after the event happened. There is no alerting / notification system built in.

The Amazon link no longer works, and when I searched for it lots of other makes came up, but not this one. Shame. 😞 Checking Trusted Reviews website, seems like Amazon has banned the company. @@jjwills69 8x AA batteries last about 3-4 weeks for us. Also depends on what settings yiu have for recording etc. If the solar panel can output the required power to run it, then it should work.

I am a photographer! I bought two of GardePro A8 (latest) from Amazon, believe in me none of these cameras (any brand) worth a penny! Unless of course you just want to see some visual. The quality of specs they offer not even 720p, photos are NOT 16mp nor even 4mp just a screenshot of what’s being grabbed from that 720i (interpolated/ upscaled) image. Think of these details which I mentioned when you buy one of these or else you’d be very disappointed. Besides of all, Wifi only works under 10m or 32ft distance. Sensor/s misses the action, leaves in a wind triggers the camera/s. Frustratingly cheap items made in China (yet again) and shamefully sold in Amazon! 😣
