What a trip we've had so far in Egypt! Waking up with the sunrise next to the Nile river was definitely a highlight! Really enjoyed the first class train ride. If you have any tips for hidden gems in Egypt, let us know!

You're welcome 😉 we still had fun on the train
@dankamp2872 Жыл бұрын
"Supporting our tourism" - what a joke! You have millennia-old sites that require no maintenance or infrastructure being visited by MILIIONS of tourists every year. Where does the money go? The archaeological sites are dirty and unimproved, the "tourism police (LOL)" allow shysters to run rampant, bilking tourists for as much as they can sucker out of them. Your tourist centers are disgusting, your airport in Cairo is terrible, your train system is prehistoric.

Liars for $$$ - the Nile is not clean at all thanks to the customary and quaint Egyptian habit of throwing their garbage anywhere at anytime. I suppose it looks okay if you've ever spent time on the Ganges at Varanasi, where you run the risk of having your boat hit a human corpse or dead cow, or you can swim among the cremated remains of over 30,000 faithful mixed with the sewage of the city.

I would recommend take a plan for less price or the regular train called vip for 20/25 $ , there are overnight vip trains as well. so you will not wasted a day time. thank you Mohamed. In general we really liked the people and the food. Egypt has such a great and rich history, which is really impressive. What we didn't like so much is the cleanliness of the country. A lot of places could be so much nicer if they would do some more cleaning and maintenance. Some people on the street trying to sell you stuff can be quite persistent. It's ok, but after the 100th time it gets a bit frustrating when you are tired after a long day.

I have wished you postpone your trip to Egypt to later this year so you be among the first few lucky people to attend opening of the new grand museum expected later this year anyway hope you enjoyed your trip i am also not really sure if you made it inside the great pyramid or not ? if you been to other smaller same style pyramids found in mexico and china (I think the one in china is not allowed to any visitors) south east asia do you think there any connection between all of them ? can they be licked with each other ?
@NaickKim4 жыл бұрын
Yes the new museum will be really cool! We've been to pyramids in mexico and there is indeed some resemblance in shape. But from what we've seen the building style and methods is quite different, so I'm not sure if they are directly linked.
@dankamp2872 Жыл бұрын
The Giza Pyramids were definitely built by pre-dynastic peoples - different materials and science. The Pyramid of Khufu has 2.3 million stones: quarrying, shaping, shipping, and fitting into place one multi-ton block EVERY 5 MINUTES 24/7 would have taken 20 years! The modern Egyptians haven't even mastered garbage cans or driving with the lights on, so I believe it must have been ETs.
