Ups are the most neglected and have shown the least devolopment in the era of modern electronics

Most consumer models are square wave voltage output which damage active PFC's in modern electronics. In 220 voltage models the output voltages are in the range of 150v.We have seen APC and other companies selling the same models with same technology since 2012. They manufacture users' irreplaceable backup battery. The control panels are often complicated even a technician has trouble understanding. Impossible to carry them on the flight because no clear safety instructions

100% Why are there no wifi models so you can remotely monitor the UPS, as well as the ability to switch off the blinding LCD screens? No ability to mute alarms. Just old, old, old tech.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I understand your concern about UPS development, but I think the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series could be a game-changer. With its massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets, it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like us. Plus, the waterproof technology is a great bonus. Check it out if you're looking for reliable backup power!

@@DailyGrindWorkout subject to the load applied. like any battery, a 1,000 mAh battery can provide 1,000 mAh, if your load is 100 mAh , that means 10 hours. if its 500 mAh, that is 2 hours. You need more battery to store more power to use for longer. This 'maximum time' nonsense is all calculated on VA, which makes the math different.

My Cyberpower 1500PFCLCD just fried out of warranty, but it is filled with yellow and brown corrosive glue, I would think a build flaw should be covered regardless of warranty if it is “Time bomb” as some vids have claimed I’m calling tomorrow to see what’s up but beware

How good is the typical UPS at charging it's battery?
@xXKisskerXx8 ай бұрын
they tend to use deep storage lead acid batteries, so they don't charge fast. they usually take 8 hours to charge. sometimes longer, sometimes the better ones trickle charge the last 5-10%. So you might charge from 30-90% real fast, but then take hours to top off. This is to help prolong the battery life.

Hello, i was looking for a decent protection for my new gaming pc. I made my decicion because i had two defective laptops in the past few years and both of them had the same issues. I strongly believe that there is something wrong with the power in the building i live. I was wondering if anyone can recomend me a very good ups for all round protection.. i dont really have issues with power outtages, i think its rather voltage spikes and corrupt electricity flow since its an old building with old electronical system. I need to run a 4070, 14600kf with a 750watts psu as soon as possible because i need it for my job. Any reccomendations by heart? Very appreciated since all this stuff and numbers are driving me nuts. Just need a good protection to smoothen out electricity peoperly.

Call it what it is so consumers know. Line interactive is a very close approximation of pure sine wave, uses less power, than Online power-conditioning UPS, which have CLEANEST power, better than mains, has ZERO switchover time, but use more power and start at like 3x cost of line interactive. They have BIG fan, runs full time. DO NOT buy sine wave approximation UPS. Line interactive is not invented by CP, all brands have models. FYI Eaton/Tripp-Lite is used by enterprise. Eaton bought them.

Anyone can advise if a top high end gaming pc for e.g a 13900k cpu and rtx 4090 Gpu setup is suitable to pair with the APC BR1500G UPS? Is the 865W enough?
@GrandPrix26 Жыл бұрын
You most likely got the answer by now, but it doesn't hurt to reply to help anyone else. To protect your system yes it's enough. to keep your system running (longer than 10 mins no you may not.) if you're gaming and suddenly experience power loss it's definitely enough to protect your components by properly exiting game, save whatever opened file or running program you have (such as editing softwares, streaming, etc) then shutting down. Measure the total wattage of your system and have at least 300watts as headroom. in this case. 1000w is more than enough with the 1500va rating.
@naruhearts1 Жыл бұрын
I'd go with the 900 watt atleast. I'm going to be building a 13700k and 6950xt and trying to figure out if 900watt is enough or if I should try to get the 1500 watt which is nearly $500 vs $200 for the 900 watt

You sound bitter. Most people who seek out or research these low-end UPS need it for gaming purposes to save data. If you want UPs for more "high-end" purposes, don't turn to cheaper alternatives on a channel that is GEARED towards that. Idiots.
@joshuakenney44498 ай бұрын
I don’t think it’s focusing on gaming, I think it’s meaning the equipment you are using to game on. The customer PCs and even modern gaming systems are very expensive and when running when the power kicks off you are putting the system at risk. That’s what he meant. Not to say the point you made isn’t totally valid, I just think you may of missed the point.
