The one they’ve recorded definitely has an exhaust fitted. The stock S8 did not sound like that. Even though it’s an S version, at the end of the day the A8 was an executive saloon.

Alright then, rationale time. 1. The LFA’s note, though not as loud and deep as the Carrera GT’s, is way more appealing and still very loud. 2. The Gallardo note is very similar to the LFA’s, though it is lower pitched and it bubbles slightly on idle. 3. The Carrera GT is refined and loud, but it lacks the strength in its major third relative to the two above it. 4. The S8 annd RS6 actually had the Gallardo 5.0 engine, at least they did for a couple years. It’s a little less exciting though. 5. M6 has an odd firing order, but is way more exciting than the other two with odd firing orders. 6. R8 is everyone’s first thought when they hear V10. 7. The Viper’s low redline and odd-firing order hurt it, although the tone is unique.
