Hi, Chip! The card reader isn't proprietary so you can use whatever you have. You're using Homan cards? I'm not sure about using them with MacBook, I'm a Windows user and I have 7 Homan cards that I've never had problems with.

Hi I don't know this homan company I will take a closer look. I shoot weddings so the cards must work. I am afraid to use a no name card. For the youtube videos I dont care but weddings... oooohhmmman
