Well done, guys! I have been waiting for this review for a few months now, as I have been playing a 16.5* EXS 220 3/4 wood since late January/early February (with a two month break when all golf courses were shut-down thanks to COVID-19), and I added the EXS 220 driver with the HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 6.0 shaft to my bag about nine or ten rounds ago. I LOVE both clubs, and have hit more fairways than ever before with the EXS 220 driver .... and with the EXS 220 fairway wood off the tee, as well. Some of my regular playing partners have asked why I don't just hit "that Tour Edge 4-wood" off the tee all of the time because I hit it so long and straight. Then, they see me hit a couple of bombs with the EXS 220 driver, and they understand why I use that club on the longer holes. TIP: Tour Edge Golf just introduced the EXS 220 Pro line of drivers, fairways and hybrids on June 1, and I just received my EXS 220 Pro driver (440cc, deeper face, shorter profile from heel-to-toe and from front-to-back, with a more sloping crown .... AND IT HAS A SLIDING WEIGHT AT THE BACK OF THE SOLE). I have only taken it to the range once on Wednesday, and it shows a great deal of promise. I got mine with the Tensei CK Orange 60-S shaft in it, but I also tried my HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 6.0 shaft in it, and I played around with adjusting the loft down to 9.5* (slightly open face, 58.5* lie angle), and it was performing great. I'm playing it this weekend in a couple of casual rounds, and if it continues to perform well, I'm probably going to put it in play for my two competitive rounds next week. The EXS 220 Pro driver may be one for Matt to try, if it comes in a lefty version, but it appears only to be available right-handed, so maybe Ian will have to give that one a trial run!

Finally! Uk Accra fitter here, been offering TEE for last 2 seasons but struggle to convince customers even when the Tour Edge out performs OEM. I play 220 with TZ 6 CB M4 and it’s amazing. Pro version lands next week. Great review.

Please see my recent comment here regarding the EXS 220 Pro. I just got mine on Wednesday and immediately took it to the range immediately. If you have the clubhead speed and late release necessary to get the results it was designed to give, you will love it.

Glad to see a good review of them. They're local and it's good to see them getting a fair shake. Part of the problem with brands like Tour Edge and Cobra is how and where stores and pro shops display them. If they were displayed next to the Titlest or Callaway and not across from the sale racks, people would perceive them differently.
@ahastar11414 жыл бұрын
That prime display space is extremely expensive and not all of the brands can afford to outbid some of the big boys with exclusive deals

Just received the 10.5 exs 220 with hzrdous yellow shaft. Paid $250.00 US on sale! Took it to the range to try out a few a adjustment options. The 9.5 with the 57 lie angle seemed to fit my swing very well (no launch monitors were used). Took it to a local muni (my course is closed for the season) for its initial test run. Temperatures was 43* F with a light rain and very soft fairways. Without boring everybody with details, I'll just say this club is definitely staying in my bag. Hit at least 6-7 drives further than I've ever hit them on this particular course, even in warm, dry conditions. The ball was absolutely rocketing off the club face, and even with soggy fairways, would roll out another 10-20 yds. Looking forward to taking this down to Florida next month!

A decade ago, Tour Edge Exotics were a bit more expensive that the name brands, but had the best fairway woods and were worth it. Guys played them on the PGA tour without being paid. They still have the best fairway woods and are now cheaper ... and it looks like their drivers have now caught up. Not sure if they still do the Lifetime Guarantee but I once cracked a XCG4 driver head and as they were out of stock (superceded) they replaced it with an XCG5, no questions asked. David Glod and TEE deserve heaps of kudos.

I have the Pro version of this driver with a Tensei Orange 70 in it. An absolute low spinning beast. Really really like that it's 430ish CCs. Only downside is when the the sliding weight is as far out on the toe as possible it changes the acoustics of the club and it sounds a bit tinny. I won't gripe when I'm last to play in the fairway though!

Cobra F9 Tour Head they sell a 4 stroke 5. I went with it because it's head shape is smaller like a 5 wood and with it being at a standard 4 wood setting its really like a easy 3 wood. Hopefully you guys will get your hands on the Limited Edition EXS 220 Pro series stuff to test. Ian will have to do the testing though as it's all RH only. The EXS 220 driver Matt tested in this video is on my short list. Tour Edge fairways have been solid for years. Now the drivers are getting some love. To be fair about their price point, while they seem to be coming in lower in the driver market now, they have always been on the more expensive end with their top of the line or better players fairway woods. Also, I thing Tour Edge is only offering the EXS 220 driver in 10.5 in the lefty head. Might be another one for Ian to try in the 9.5 head.
