You know if you upgrade the the t5 bug (Jem'hadar Escort) ship that is just a full account unlocked upgraded ship. It's only 850 dilithium :D

I got my Hirogen Hunter for 300k EC (was a bit lucky). For a freetoplayer, it's simply the best ship to start with. There's a Kazon ship already, I doubt they'll add another. :)

The console is a really good way to keep an enemy in your forward firing arc, as it let's you turn around almost instantly, which is a lot better than most consoles and also very fun too

I was eventually able to replace that console with an epic level Bellum RCS. Still keeps the ability to do a quick 180, plus you get a crit chance bonus.

Yeah, the Borg Assimilator is quite the risible behemoth. Makes you wonder how a ship as tiny as most escorts in comparison could even compete against it.

Honestly a ship that big gives me a small amount of hope that the Voth citadel dreadnought will be flyable someday

Thanks for another interesting video :) As per ships that can be obtained for free (but require some time to grind up to tier 6), my current go to budget KDF ship is Fleet Qib Intel Battlecruiser. Although this ship has 4/4 weapon layout, It's still equipped with battle cloak, can have dual heavy cannons installed, additionally (especially since the revamp of Intel specialization) it's possible to use Surgical Strikes III. But since adding an option to upgrade ship up to T6-X2 it is possible to squeeze there up to 7 isomags and 4 bellum tac consoles from DSC rep :D this setup annihilates everything and quickly :)

I give this ship out to new players as I trip over them. Along with an Aegis set and some Mk XII weapons.

Your laughter was reward enough to view your video. Also, a nice selling point for the Hirogen Hunter is it's one of the oldie but goodie ships with a custom bridge ... imo it's similar to a what a Yautja (Predator) bridge could be.

What's interesting is how "crap" ships are until someone points out that actually they're alright. I still regularly use the T5 Defiant over the T6 Mirror Defiant (4/3 weapons v 5/1). T5 Patrol Escort still a fave too.
