This VTX is blowing my mind. It's puny, it's switchable, it's got 72 channels, it has a UFL connector, and it's DIRT CHEAP! I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time, and only time can tell, but darn if I'm not impressed with it so far.

I used one of these on my first build a year ago and it worked great, I switched out the linear antenna for a pigtail and better antenna pretty quickly and it took about 6 months for me to break the ufl connector on the VTX which I fixed by direct soldering the pigtail! Amazing how well it worked and I was using its 5V output to run my camera. The only reason I prefer something like the TBS now is smart audio so I can change channels and power from my radio but if you put the eachine VTX somewhere you can see the LED display and hit the button it's the easiest VTX to change settings on manually IMO.

Love Eachine. They can surprise you sometimes. Mostly entry level toy quality and cheap garbage but its so nice to not spend a fortune on the products they do get right!

I love the eachine super mini vtx03 aside from how hot it gets though there are heatsyncs for these. Old post I know but they NOW HAVE the Eachine ATX03, same as the vtx03 but has smart audio this time. Woot woot!

I also have the TX03 on my Micro Voo and it has been a great micro camera. I have quite a few hours on it and have had zero issues with it.

Atx03 or vtx03 models... hot tips... 1. Add a dab of hot glue on the sides of the lcd display. Then clear heatshrink to keep it all isolated. 2. Only ever run clean 5v/1a for this unit independant of other 5v gear you use. Run camera 5v from the atx/vtx03 unit to fpv camera. Any more draw on its 5v input other than the unit itself will see it cook. I use this unit on a lot of my builds.

Nice demo. I think the VTX03 had the most break up of the 3 .. perhaps with a RHCP cloverleaf on it, it might do better. I have a couple of the Eachine TX03 AIO cam/vtx units and they work pretty well, mounted on little minis and micros. Awesome job flying btw. Still trying to transition from LOS to FPV (thus the idea of sticking a TX03 on a Syma X5). Cheers & thumbs up.

Paul I have 3 of these on the way for a 3" build. How is the channel bleed on this ? I've noticed with alot of the "value" vtx's channel bleed is a issue and occasional models changing channels too. Any issues like this with this VTX that you noticed. Thanks

Jon_fpv Buchannon I had an sma adapter on mine and broke it and the antenna off and mine still works fine, was on maybe 20-30 seconds before I realized the antenna was off of it before I yanked the battery plug.

The flight video was totally tolerable. I've found a new love for the linear antenna after bando racing with a few guys here in Dallas. Have you tried this VTX with other pilots? If so, did you notice any bleed over on other pilots?

My next door neighbors (on the left side looking at the house) have given me permission to fly through their back yard (if they're not out there.) I've only ever had the cops called on me for not having used a leash with my dog, but noone cares about drones.. :P haha.

so any chance you have a 600mw vtx. i see guys fly these more powerful vtx and seem to get very good quality in both open areas and, i guess urban areas (buildings, trees, obstructions) so it would be cool to see a flight or your opinion even to save from making another video on same topic. just to see if the higher powered vtx makes a difference. i cannot seem to get good reception at all. figured maybe because im running a fatshark 5.8 video rx. opposed to a laforge or diversity rx. im looking at the new furious true d v3. might you have an opinion on that. awesome video!

Any news on how this vtx plays with other pilots in the air? I had to stop using my old Eachine ET200 because it was just blowing up everyone else's channels, even when we had good separation. I'd imagine they've gotten better about that, the micro all in one's seem to play nicely together

You are correct, but I was consistently using the same receiving antenna with the others. The point was to demonstrate the difference between the unify and the eachine.

the eachine vtx/cam combos seem pretty good too. I usually put a 12 dollar eachine came on my rodeo 110s cause the stock rodeo cam is shit. would like to try the vtx/cam on a rodeo but don't know how to power it if I remove the stock vtx.

Hi Nurk, this transmitter has all these new frequenciy bands, u O l and H but there does not seem to be a receiver module that will receive these lower frequencies on the market. From what I can find on the web, they are not legal in USA even with a HAM license. Do you have any insight on why what or when these frequencies may become available?

Next time mount the antenna true the hole in the top plate and mount it like the receiver antenna's with a tie wrap.

I mount those antenna's on my quad and they work good. The other antenna's are better but not that much. I make that they stick out of the top and are clear of everything. The reception is than a lot better. They don't brake by crashes, they are light and will never be a problem with a gate ore something. Long distance they are not that good but when do you go far with a racing quad? But so cheap, small and easy to replace the antenna with something els.

Any chance you've tested this on 25mw? Been doing a lot of indoor racing with a large group and we only allow 25mw and I'm not sure if the eachine I have now doesn't perform that well over 25mw as I tend to get other peoples feeds sometimes which is pretty much crash burn frustration!

it depend witch frequency you will use some have smaller power som of them higher :) I have 801 from eachine and I find witch chanel is strogest I have it set for 600 mw but real output power is around 630 mw but there are also freq. witch have 400 mWreal for 600 mw

I'm a complete novice and have only flown a jrc h8 mini in LOS, I purchased a flysly i6 s transmitter and also got the lift off simulator as I really wanna fly fpv. My question is... Is it possible to get a camera without all the noise/black lines etc? It looks really off putting. I would rather spend a couple of hundred to ensure a perfect picture signal, is this even possible or is it something I just have to put up with? Adam Green This is analog video but there are some recievers called "Clearview" which has little breakup, but requires a ground station around $699. Or get hd goggles and go for the connex prosight which is up to almost $1000 in a bundle.

you mean the white lines?yes, they can be eliminated by either using an lc- filter between power source and camera and/or soldering a big enough capacitor to the main battery pad. The capacitor usually help with the white lines while the lc filter filter the black ripple

Actual power output on average is about 10% higher than it's rated.

Did you figure it out? Were you trying to power a camera with it? It gives 5V exactly but the power is insufficient for most cameras, even micros. Avoid the 5V out on these and just power your camera from the FC or battery.
