A good alternatives to that Maen Moonphase is the Federique Constant Moneta Moonphase. A quartz movement might be more practical for a Moonphase watch so that it doesn't need to be set often.

Great selection, love it. Just one change though, I would substitute TAG with Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Triple Calendar Panda dial (it has better legibility than the other two dial colors). Happy Holidays!

For $100 or less I recommend the Casio Edifice EFB, Seiko VX43E Quartz, and is a really good alternative to Tissot’s PRX Quartz. Hits every marker.

A great alternative to that ancient pretty cheap(?) ($155 on Amazon) (+ the cost of a bracelet or strap) 5 series Seiko is the $120 Watchdives WD1016 Explorer type mecha quartz 100WR sapphire crystal applied markers BGW9 lume monster category killer. I have reverence for the Seiko 5 series, and if you don’t have one, that one is a good one. But I have one already and I’m not in a collect-em-all mood. One and done. Time to move on to something that is leaps and bounds beyond.

I like the Tag, but I hate when companies do 2 things: 1) Have a running seconds hand overlap a date, or 2) Have a running seconds hand with no delineation of markers at all.

Above $5k subjective characteristics become more important. That’s why a Tudor will usually beat out more expensive watche brands. Longines vs Tudor is a same cost class comparison. Omega vs Tudor is not and the subjective characteristics become more important for the Omega.

"Maen" is pronounced like a longer british "van", so "vaan". This is because Maen is really just the old Dutch spelling of "maan" which means moon.
