I love to watch your videos because they reinforce my knowledge through out the years about food ingredients and nutrition facts that it started my journey when I was pregnant 19 years ago. I have been shopping for my family paying attention to ingredients that I can’t pronounce and I was terrified to find out the stuff that is in our food. My kids now teens think I was crazy but now they can see for themselves how the choices I made a while back have paid off. Thanks God they are growing up strong and healthy. So sad that most foods are made for business purposes. Then we ask ourselves why there is so many diseases and obesity in this country. Terrible!!! Thank you for your great videos. !!!!

One of the most important water videos on the internet. I drink Deer Park spring water and Giant brand spring water in plastic bottles sadly. I am very grateful you mentioned the toxicity of splenda/sucrolose and I would add aspartame is just as bad. I was surprised natural flavors actually means UN natural flavors and should be completely avoided if possible. But this level of food industry deceit does not surprise me. They actually put a genuine poison, aspartame , in the food supply because it is so addictive and cheap. Thank you for the fantastic information. Keep up the great work.

@@Ricci-om3mn They put the non-aluminum in the baking soda is just a sale ploy … there’s really actually no aluminum in it, it just says “ aluminum free.” Just like chicken will say “hormone free” when in actuality it’s illegal to use hormones on any animal sourced food in the United States. It’s really no different than putting a heart on the box of Cheerios, saying it’s heart healthy! I could make a product like milk and write “aluminum free” on it. Then people would think it’s healthier than normal milk because it says “aluminum free.” It’s a marketing trick without lying ….

Thanks for an informative video, as usual. But I’m surprised you recommended purchasing electrolyte additives. Hi Bobby. Thank you for your videos. You have revolutionized my grocery shopping! When I saw this video, I was a little shocked that you have bought into the alkaline water hype of the early 2010s and actually have an alkalizing home water filter and felt compelled to leave a comment. What do you think your stomach acid does to the alkaline water? When you’re as young as you are (mid 40s), the alkalinity probably won’t hurt you because your produce enough stomach acid to neutralize the alkalinity and it is just a hype at this point. When you are older, however, and may have low stomach acid and digestion issues as many older folks do, then the alkaline water is just like chewing antacid tablets during or after a meal. It interferes with digestion, interferes with nutrient and medication absorption, and creates heartburn in some folks. I am not a fan of drinking acid water but plain water is what nature has intended for us to drink. You may have seen those tests where they put a piece of fruit in alkaline water and show you how it will stay fresh and not rot for many, many hours vs one not placed in alkaline water and from that, they conclude it keeps your cells young. That may happen to a few cells that absorb the water right out of the mouth but then again you have the stomach acid that will either neutralize it or IT will disrupt the digestive process. Trust me you do not want the fruit to stay fresh going thru your digestive tract any way. And unless your were directly injecting yourself with something alkaline, there is no way for you to increase your body’s PH thru ingestion of alkaline water. Ask a doctor! Please make a video and let us know what you think. ❤️

He, also, purportedly stayed at The Arlington Hotel and Spa because it had and still does have a natural hot springs bath house in the bottom of the hotel. As do a select few of places there including a rehabilitation facility that is still there as well. 7.0 pH is neutral. Therefore anything over 7.0 is : "alkaline." But we're talking very tiny degrees of measurement and I can't imagine it means much. Anything between 6.5 pH and 7.8 pH is perfectly acceptable. Chicago water comes in around 7.4 - 7.7; New York City water out of the tap is around 6.6 - 6.8. Further, pH is only half the story. There is "hardness" to consider. More reading is needed.

Hi Carl, Zevia has always listed “natural flavors” in ingredient panels. Because of proprietary reasons, we cannot list all the flavors we put in our sodas. Our “Natural Flavors” are all plant-derived. Examples of components in our natural flavors are citrus oils, cherry essence, cassia oil, wintergreen, and other flavor compounds unique to each flavor (eg, Grapefruit Citrus). We don’t disclose a laundry list of our natural flavors. Our entire strategy revolves around using plant-derived ingredients, and creating a ‘smarter choice’ than the mainstream products. The term “Natural” is a highly sensitive term in the food and beverage industry, as there no regulatory framework for calling a product ‘natural’, we avoid calling our product ‘natural’. The term “Natural Flavors” is an exception, given that it has regulatory framework. For example, that cannot use ‘artificial flavors’ and call them ‘natural flavors’. We can absolutely confirm that there is no MSG, dairy, egg, soy, wheat, peanut, tree nut, fish, shell fish in any Zevia product. Thank you so much…p.s. I’ve downloaded your app and it is my new “ bible”! Thank you.

I got caught up in the Bubly water phase. Thought I was doing something good for myself since it's "water". Included in the natural flaroring is a ton of citric acid! I woke up with the worst migraine I've ever had in my life and the only thing I had done differently was drank several Bubly's the day before.

Looove your videos...and man i realllly wanted to like Spindrift! I bought 2 different flavors, no one in my house liked either of them. They reminded me of the alcoholic seltzers... the blackberry one was ok. I felt there was not enough bubbles. Wasnt very carbonated... thanks for the info about natural flavors tho... the search continues.

Thanks for addresng the natural flavors issue the labeling is deceptive. Do video on bulk bottled waters like arrowhead , crystal geyser and store brands most frequently purchased because of lower cost. Thank you for the information that helps people avoid getting ripped off 👍.

I would love to know Bobby's grocery bill each month - assuming he actually buys all the premium, organic, grass fed, pasture raised stuff he endorses as the best.
@gretagordon95125 жыл бұрын
I buy all of that and my grocery bill is $600 a month for a family of 3. There are alternatives to meat. We don’t eat meat at every meal. We rarely eat out, and I make as much as I can from scratch. So $600 covers 3 meals a day, 7 days a week and snacks (like fruit or crackers).

he isnt buying on a budget like most viewers, so is bill would be larger than anyones. People watching should know how to budget, even with these items, you do learn which ones you can or do need to buy each week or wait the next. And it comes out about the same price. Cheers

Okay Bobby I just finished watching the video, and I'm thrilled to say that I drink Mountain Valley and Harmless Harvest already! I always felt (because of the research that I've done) that these two were really the top of the line, and they really don't even compare to the others!! Now that I hear it from you, I know that I've made the right decisions! You are to all of us a 100% trusted and very reliable and honest source! Thank you again!

NYCgirl Any other tips? I know the Berkeley water filter is supposed to be good, but right now I'm using a zero water filter. I don't have money to buy bottle products, though I would love to be able to buy that collagen water.
@corporatethreads5 жыл бұрын
@@lockergr Oh my gosh, how sweet of you to ask! As far as your filtered water.... I think that's great what you're using!My only tips are to always be an educated consumer. You'd be very surprised to learn about the way things that we eat are really made and what they are made from! I would strongly suggest that you make anything you possibly can all by yourself (most things are really not very hard or even time-consuming)...... that way you know exactly what you're getting! Lastly, I would suggest that if you eat meat, fruits and vegetables try your best to get it from a farm (especially the meat, chicken, etc! That is where the freshest meats and everything else comes from , and also the healthiest and best tasting as well! I hope that helps, and I wish you the best! :)

NYCgirl Thanks so much! I'm good about preparing things from whole foods and avoiding anything processed, but I need to get more on board with buying things from farms and farmers' markets. Wanted to actually try out going to a fish market as well. Have wanted to make my own bone broth and coconut yogurt in my Instant Pot, but since it's only me, I struggle to eat it all up (and have hence avoided making it). Thanks for the reminders about these things. I always like learning from others. Best health wishes to you!

You approve box water because its not in plastic bottle. There is mostly likely a poly based coating on the cardboard. Aluminum cans have a thin poly liner on the interior of the can so the metal doesn’t react with the liquid overtime.
