My family is moving to Florida and I have only ever freshwater fished and never fished much anyways because I found it very boring especially since I only ever caught rock bass(just got some bad luck), but my stepdad has told my and my brother that saltwater fishing is less boring, so I want to do some research to get a head start on my brother who was always more into fishing then me.

Use the belly meat of most salt water fish as bait. The skin on the outside and membrane on the inside of the belly holds it on the hook really good. Aku belly is my favorite.

I use the blue glittery fake worm 🪱 bait and me and my grandpa always hav the best of luck with it when fishing 🎣, and we catch HUGE fish, this specific rod we do a technique where u drag it then reel a little then drag then reel then drag then reel, we also used a trick where u reel then pop it(when it gets weighted u pull it up) then reel then pop then reel then pop, and we actually use 2 fishing 🎣 rods so the reel then drag AND reel and pop is the wooden/plastic rod and then the main technique is just plain slow but fast reeling and then if I didn’t catch anything I’ll reel it all the way back 🎣, and the regular slow but fast reeling is done one the plastic/metal rod(the main rod we use)🎣

That’s the only way - other than a pooping cork from a boat - to catch fish from shore. Did that for 35 years in Texas. Took it to Oregon and worked well there. Some others fishing asked how I was catching. Showed the setup and they rerigged and started catching.

I don’t mention the fish bites because it’s not necessary. All you need is the shrimp. I put the fish bites on because I’m using multiple rods and don’t want to constantly check them every 5 minutes to make sure my bait didn’t fly off. I love fish bites but they can’t compare to real bait. So for that reason they aren’t necessary
