The shore lunch took me back to my high school days in the mid 80’s, running out to a marsh straight from school with two buddies, taking the only mallard we could hit and roasting it on a stick over a swampy grass and stick fire, best duck I’ve ever had to this day and you know it’s all because of the people you enjoy being with us the reason!! For sure thank you. The grans fors small forest axe is a decent small axe that can do a lot of jobs. I carry the Brandt and Cochran Allagash Cruiser that does everything I need and I also use several older Maine heads. 2 1/2 to 3 pound heads are decent for all around use

That was a little cruel to Pat! Although, he was a lot calmer than I would have been if my stuff was gone. You ought to carry a magnesium fire starter in your kit. It's light and can be a lifesaver when matches are wet. It's like $2.99 and I've started fires easy enough with it. I got it either at the Indian Hill 'Chan't-Affords'/ Trading Post or Cabela's. Great video again. If David donates that spice mix recipe, and he likes to read I'll send him any book from my list.
