The shore lunch took me back to my high school days in the mid 80’s, running out to a marsh straight from school with two buddies, taking the only mallard we could hit and roasting it on a stick over a swampy grass and stick fire, best duck I’ve ever had to this day and you know it’s all because of the people you enjoy being with us the reason!! To be honest I had never heard of David Dudley until this video series. Being a Minnesota guy I have always been into walleye so the pros I looked up to were Al Lindner, Ted Takasaki, and Gary Roach to name a few. For sure thank you. The grans fors small forest axe is a decent small axe that can do a lot of jobs. I carry the Brandt and Cochran Allagash Cruiser that does everything I need and I also use several older Maine heads. 2 1/2 to 3 pound heads are decent for all around use

Hey Joe I seen the butane lighter struggled the little you should look into getting an arc lighter they don't struggle in cold or wind they last a long time on a single charge USB charges on they're also waterproof very handy I would still carry the butane lighter too

I think I'm going to try and work out my own version of Dave's spices. Start with Old Bay, white pepper, blackened Cajun seasoning (I think I have 3 different kinds to choose from), paprika, salt, garlic powder, and work from there.

That was a little cruel to Pat! Although, he was a lot calmer than I would have been if my stuff was gone. You ought to carry a magnesium fire starter in your kit. It's light and can be a lifesaver when matches are wet. It's like $2.99 and I've started fires easy enough with it. I got it either at the Indian Hill 'Chan't-Affords'/ Trading Post or Cabela's. Great video again. If David donates that spice mix recipe, and he likes to read I'll send him any book from my list.

Lost a couple wax worms and caught the same 14" large mouth twice today lol. Got me a tip up finally and gonna try that bad boy out Saturday! Can't wait man ive been watching all your videos and am currently watching the catch and cook. We catch panfish and small northerns all the time hoping to get on some walleye Saturday.
