Thank you so much for making videos! I have watched a couple of your videos and will watch more - very helpful. I am looking for a way to get paint drips off red bricks that happened when someone painted the white trim around my front door. I so wish you would make a video on that! I've tried so many things that don't work.

This worked great had a suction cup melt to my inner windshield and did 4 passes of goo gone to get rid of the big bits, then used the magic eraser and buffed it out looks great

The best method so far in cleaning the inside of a windscreen. Every other method using glass cleaner, soap etc. was useless in removing the huge build up of haze. They just create smudges and didn't really do anything in making the inside of the windscreen streak free and clean.

Soak the magic eraser in vinegar or water?
@rickstid-bits Жыл бұрын
Hi Kaiser. Water.

I thought that's what you meant but wasn't 100% sure. I've had these suction cup marks on my back windows since I bought my car 8 years ago and could not get them out for the life of me. Today it was super humid and warm outside and my windows fogged up like crazy and I seen them and got major OCD. I've tried goo gone, gasoline, WD40 etc on them and could never get them out. I scrubbed them really really good with that stuff. This is my last resort, wish me luck! I'm going at it tomorrow when I get up.@@rickstid-bits

@@rickstid-bits Sorry to say it did absolutely nothing. Suction cup marks are still there and I scrubbed it like crazy with the magic eraser with water.

Sorry about that. It's always worked for me. I do have to scrub a lot to get rid of the suction cup marks.

@@rickstid-bits I have no clue how long those suction cup marks have been on the windows. I've had the car for 8 years for far. Do you think they are permanent? The windows are clean inside and out. I'll try again tonight for a longer duration. It really bothers me when I see them.

Did you just wet the sponge with water when cleaning the windshield?
@rickstid-bits Жыл бұрын
Hi Rita. Yes. Wet it with only water and then squeeze out a lot of the water. Do not use any chemical cleaners at all with this process. It really works well. Thank you for leaving a comment. @@rickstid-bits thank you and hoping the streak haze will go away by doing this. Thanks again.
@rickstid-bits Жыл бұрын
Hi Rita. A really important step in this is to buff it out when you’re done. Clean 1/2 of your windshield. Dry it with a towel or T-shirt. Flip that towel over and dry it completely. Then get a separate dry towel and buff it out. What that does is polish it smooth and gets rid of any traces of any streaks. Then, do the other side of the windshield. Ric

Where do you buy these in bulk? I'm in Canada.
@rickstid-bits2 жыл бұрын
Hello. eBay. I bought a 24 pack of the 1.25" for $14 and a 30 pack of the 3/4" for $12. I couldn't argue that many for that cheap. Now, I don't try to get every last use out of every pad. I use it till it's just about used up, toss it, and get a new one out.

Why is there a purple ball hanging from your mirror?
@rickstid-bits8 ай бұрын
Hi Jill. Great question! It hangs from the ceiling. When I pull a car into our garage - that tells me when to stop. I have it adjusted so when the ball just touches the windshield, stop. That way, I'm sure I've pulled in far enough that the garage door won't hit the car. I use different color balls for our different color cars. Purple for my wife's burgundy car. Orange for my orange color car. It works great! Thank you for leaving a comment. Please click on the words “Rick’s Tid-Bits” underneath the video to go to my KZbin channel.
