That RANCH COLE SLAW. Eddie, you're a genius. That stuff is SO good. Right up there with your bacon and cheese tater fires.

Sandy Collora amazing amazing combo right there! I hate cole slaw, but that’s seriously so good! And the tater fries are one of my favorites! We’re struggling to continue coming up with creative ideas, so if you ever think of anything, please let us know!

lol awesome, is 25 lb test mono on a shimano tr 200 g with a pacifica sabre 15-35 lb 7 foot rod a ok setup for yellow tail ? I like your setup . L:ooks like it casts and reels great . You said you have 50lb braid , I am not familar with braid but sounds like real thick line right ? Mine does not cast nicely , only used it twice these last two weeks . I am thinking now its more of a trolling setup ?? but idk kind of a rookie . I want a good cast rig for yellow tail .
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
joe smith that will be fine. And braid is actually a lot thinner then mono that’s why I fill my spool with braid and just do a top shot of mono about 6 feet. 50 lb braid is probably only as thick as 20 lb mono. If you’re looking for an all around good reel for not too much, the daiwa saltist black gold is a super nice reel for its price!

@joesmith-fi1sx 6 жыл бұрын
Dirty Hookers Right on ! Thanks As a matter of fact I picked up a Daiwa Sea line x 40sha from big 5 yesterday . It looks very similar to the saltist. But is the saltist better lol Just looked on amazon and looks like the saltist is a few bucks more and has a few different models What do you think ?
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
joe smith yeah it’s a lot better then the sealine. Before you buy it on amazon you should go to big 5 and see if they have any in stock or in any local store that they can get it delivered to that store. We got our saltist 30 and 40 from big 5. So if it’s in stock you can just swap out for the sea line and pay the difference

Dirty Hookers Thanks man!!! Which one Shoukd I get ? I got a 8 foot chaser rod that can handle 40 lb line I’m thinking about putting 40lb line on so I can handle big fish And I got the 8 footer that has some whip and flex in it because I want to be able to cast nicely !! Hopefully !! With live bait or surface irons !!
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
joe smith yeah the 8 ft is perfect for all types of yellowtail fishing. I would get either saltist black gold 40. Get it spoiled with 50 or 60 lb braid and 30 lb mono will be good

What's the shortest rod you'd use for irons?
@brianvillasenor4116
@brianvillasenor4116 6 жыл бұрын
/ flat falls
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
Brian Villasenor I don’t think I’d go any shorter then 8’ for irons. But that’s me personally. I’ve seen people using 7’. I like long rods for irons 8’6-10’

Dirty Hookers does ot matter for flat falls?
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
Brian Villasenor for flatfalls and yo-yos it’s all preference in my opinion. Some people like 8’-9’ some people like 6’ I like 7’6-8’. Again on preference between a stiffer rod or a rod with a lot of whip. I like stiffer but a lot of people like whip because it help along the jig when jigging bottom. What might feel good to you might feel terrible to someone else. Just gotta try out acouple difference sizes and weight rating to figure out what you like

Really like your vids. I’m looking to build my own surface set like yours. I’m sorry if I missed it but what braid you use for your surface rigs?
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
macdud85 thanks man I appreciate that! And it depends on what reel it’s on. The lexas I do 40 or 50 lb either j braid or power pro. Whatever is at turners as the time and whatever is thinner. And for the saltist I did 50 and my Trinidad I did 60lb. The lexas I left enough room for a 50-60 yard top shot of 40 lb mono. But you can also go full braid and only have a 6 ft leader of mono for more line on the lexas. On conventional reels I like 60-80 yards of 40 lb mono top shot

Dirty Hookers dude thanks for the speedy reply! I picked up a Lexa 400 hd and a 8’10’’ proteus heavy fast. I am looking for good casting braid. I’m terrible at casting conventional reels so I look for all the tips tricks I can get lol.
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
macdud85 of course! I try to reply to every comment I get. Yeah I was really bad at casting conventional reels. The lexa helped me learn. I made a surface iron arsenal video where I explained it a little bit. But I started with baitcasters for bass fishing which helped me learn to use the lexa and the lexa helped me learn to use conventional reels

Dirty Hookers I did see that video and that’s where I got your idea (admittedly)for the lexa setup I chose. I enjoyed that video. Good info. I appreciate tips and tricks video when someone has tried the gear first. I know my poor skills for casting can probably be remedied by practice. Just got to find the time and space. Back on topic how has your experience with J braid been? Do you use the 4 or 8 strand?
@Dirty.Hookers
@Dirty.Hookers 6 жыл бұрын
macdud85 lol honestly I don’t even know. I just get whatever is at turners. That’s where I already go to spool up braid. But I love it j braid. It’s super smooth! I also try to take out my set ups and practice casting them and feeling them out before putting them to use

Only if you're fishing the Islands. Off shore fishing does not require a passport even in Mexican waters. Just got back from a full day yesterday. Didn't need a passport and we went past the islands.
