Having very thick hair myself, I feel like the technique in your video will accentuate a 'mushroom top' look that is a concern with thick heavy hair, its visible in your video after you blow dry. The process you show may be suitable for clients who don't want/need volume at the crown. For the front layers, what about over directing to the back instead of the front? That way the front layers will have length and some weight, and the back will have shorter layers to allow for volume. DJ Muldoon has a beautiful technique for that. It would be fantastic if you could make a video on how to cut very thick heavy hair so that the front layers are longer and the back is shorter (triangle layers).

Enjoyed this video very much. Most hair stylists don't even "section out your hair & Clip it up"🤔..........frustrating my hair is thick & natural curly, very frustrating to style, let alone a hair stylist........

Hi Matt. I think that it' s too heavyweight at the upper and very poor at the lower. I don't like it for my hair. It has a lot of volume on the lateral sides. I need less volume in that area. Thanks for your videos.

Matt, if a client has a side part, would you adjust the fringe sectioning?

I don't think that it would thicker on a real person. Can't imagine, that any layer is working underneath the occipital bone, except of a concave one... Maybe you could show more videos on humans?
@JaneSmith07093 жыл бұрын
Yes, a human model would have made all the difference in this video.
