How I can apply "colorfulness" to the playlist how you did in the mixer?
@TheAceInfinity
@TheAceInfinity 5 ай бұрын
You can type in values from the right click menu too which makes it far more intentional as typically you'd want to adjust based on dB values in a few cases too rather than dealing with dials.

Big thing I was quite surprised you didn't go into is time-markers on the playlist, which are very useful for keeping track of your song sections and fairly essential for writing anything with complex or changing meters... I'm pretty sure time signatures were available by the time this video would have come out because I remember what happened eight years ago that prompted Image-Line to very suddenly change their minds and add time signatures to the program; but even if they weren't, your basic time-markers have existed for at least as long as I've been using FL. My favourite thing about them is that setting any time signature resets the playlist's shading -- the grey and darker grey background that changes every four bars -- so even if you've got a whole track in 4/4, if you've got a transition that lasts two bars, or six, or ten, you can add another 4/4 time signature marker and keep that shading from going out of sync with your song structure. And as an extra bonus, you can double-click a time marker to automatically highlight the section between it and the next one, which lets you instantly loop a section for recording. What makes them hard to find is that although you can add them by right clicking on the measuring tape at the top of the playlist, you can only do that if at least one is already there. Your first time-marker always has to be added by going into the drop down menu left of the snapper magnet. And all of this is available in the piano roll too. ------------------------------------------------- Using the spraypaint approach to match the project's energy is an interesting idea that might be worth a try. I usually have nature photos -- usually not peaceful ones! :) -- on the background for similar purpose but they tend to get covered up by all the different windows. I usually use sections of palette to match to specific parts -- so like, if I look at a pattern in the playlist and it's in a specific colour I know that's a drum pattern. Or using muted and naturalistic hues on audio clips of real instruments and more vivid colours on audio from synths. Or just matching the instrument colour to my synaesthesia if I decide it doesn't matter :)

that was instresting. a note for the mixer or other fades or knobs 1 quick tip . if u want to fine tune a pan knob to Righ -30% if u first L-click on the knob and DONT TOUCH ANYTHING as u go up to the top tool bar, beside ur timecode box to its left under the big midi sync button theres a small down arrow if u click that. it will give u a BIG knob with % or a fader x2. also works with vsts and everything. tip no2. the browser is moveable u can click on the empty area at the top and move around the screen. i like to have mine on the right hand side. hope that helps a bit

Hi, can you make a tutorial on how to make fl-studio templates? because having a template with all your tracks properly named and colored will save lots of time, you won't have to set colors every-time you start a new project! *Is it also possible to create a project folder on flstudio?

GRAW 19 You see when you select colours, beside the colour that is displayed (the largest square the same colour that you already have there is a thin grey box with a "+" in it (should be directly to the right of the colour box. Click it and it should open up a new panel that lets you choose absolutely any colour at all. From there you can pick the bright ones 😃 let me know if this was confusing or if you can't find the colours, I forgot to explain this detail in the video (oops)

Cool. I changed my Playlist and Piano Roll background to bluish colour. That might be awful but the reason behind that is apparently blue is a colour that triggers creativity. Otherwise I think Grayish is classier. Regarding the meters on the mixer I had my waveform view period but i got back to classical ones. It depends on what you focus on I guess but since I experiment more on compressors lately I like the classic view.
