So once you log on, I highly recommend that you complete your daily and weekly projects first, especially the weekly SHD requisition project. Since this one is quick and all you need to do is donate some material. Not sure if you guys know this, but the bonuses you get from completing these project missions have been buffed after the project resolve update. So you will be getting better quality loot along with exotic caches, components, and a bunch of other high-end item rewards.
If you don't wanna do projects for whatever reason, you also have the option of farming the occupied Dark Zone. The occupied Dark Zone can be identified as the invaded Dark Zone. So you should see a red blade Icon. This Dark Zone will yield the highest rewards, better quality loot, and a higher exotic drop rate. The occupied dark zone is a brutal environment and tends to be more crowded with players that are looking to PvP. So I'm not gonna lie to you, it will be difficult to farm in the ODZ as a solo player, especially if you are fairly new with no solo Dark Zone build.
For those of you who don't wanna farm in the Dark Zone, you can also farm level 4 control points. After clearing each control point, you will have a chance to get loot from the orange crates in the settlement. So very similar to farming in the Dark Zone but you get way more XP and won't have to worry about rogue agent players bothering you. This is how I've gotten some of my max-rolled mods by the way. Level 4 control points is an excellent alternative to Dark Zone farming.
Okay, so one of my preferred ways of farming for maxed rolled gear or mods is by spamming floor 90 in the summit. I have a video out explaining this already but in this video, I'll be going over it in greater detail. So here's what you can do to get the most out of this method, you will first need to have the floor 90 checkpoint. If you don't have the checkpoint, then what I recommend you do is if you're starting from a low level, try matchmaking and getting into a group at a higher level. This should help you reach floor 90 a lot quicker.
Countdown is also another option for farming maxed rolled gear and mods but it's actually better for leveling your expertise because of the high volume of loot drops.

The dark zone, right! Go solo collect, then just get ripped off. They also, gang up on you just to Rob you. Or Many help you battle and the go rouge and rip you off. It really ruins it for new players.

I was in the DZ today and wasn't in the mood for PVP. This guy kept attacking me even though I showed no interest. He finally left me alone bcuz I wouldn't fight back.

Yep. DZ is a complete waste of time for farming. The only time I go in the DZ is when I'm leveling a character. Other than that ... nah thanks.

DZ has the same RGN as LZ. It's still the same toss of a coin. You are better off getting a near God rolled gear that you need from Countdown and optimize it with the resources you get from Countdown cashes and materials from the gear you deconstruct. No time wasting running away from gunfights or risking your gear to Rogues. The only item worth getting from DZ is the Eagle Bearer. Good luck with that. Play smarter, not harder.

This was a very good video, helped me out alot, I've been running this game for a month now, I played division one when it came out. I haven't has much luck playing with other agents but I random group and that gets me some good loot sometimes.

Countdown and Open World for max mods. Sadly my hardcore agent was not able to benefit from the max mod crafting bench bug. Which is a real letdown.

Maybe it’s just me but I found that legendary summit content isn’t as hard as legendary strongholds. I tried DUA for example and couldn’t even make it in the building after several tries. Maybe it’s because summit has more cover? I ran legendary solo summit floor 30 and got the big horn after 2 tries. Mind you I got one the night before with my clan running it

If you’re struggling with the starting section of DUA there’s a quick cheat you can do. Fast travel there and make your legendary selection etc. Then run forward into the area a few steps to start the mission. Turn around and run back out and through the big building on your left. This will take you to the other side of the starting area where there are no enemies. Skirt round the back edge and get into the covered area with the door and ammo case. Then you can start shooting from safety.

Yeah, that was a weird one. Everything god rolled on the bench apart from that one. Kept on giving me 12% ones. I've only picked up one 13% in my years of play.

I really would love to know what you people are doing to see exotics. It feels like to me no matter how many heroic areas I clear I get nothing. The once in a blue moon I do get an exotic it’s Pestilence or some other extremely common item that’s dropped a few dozen times for me.

I used to go a lot into DZ west cause it's smaller, and I got aroung 30 exotics in the process, well, all of them were Pestilence, and it's probably just my game that is bugged because when I team up in a friend's session, I get all sort of exotics.

Isn't farming floor 90 considered to be exploitation? I remember when you could farm, rinse and repeat the summit boss floors for lots of XP by killing the boss and then killing yourself. Lots of people were doing this and supposedly this put a lot of strain on the servers. Ubisoft nerfed the XP for it so players lost interest. Just asking. Otherwise, excellent video. Keep it up!

Yes, they nerfed the amount of XP you can get, but it's still a good way to farm for gear 🙂

Since ubisoft won't do anything about the cheaters in the DZ, farming for DZ exclusive items is more than a hassle for beginning players. My friends and I run into confirmed cheaters on a daily basis and it doesn't matter what kind of build you run, you simply get melted in 2 sec. We're playing the game since the beginning and the same cheaters are also still in the game. Some changed their name but the cheats are still the same. As for farming in this game you really need to have a good RNG or you won't get what you're looking for. One of my friends and I have a very bad RNG. As I said we played the game from the beta but the EB and Bighorn hasn't drop for either one of us YET! We finally have both guns but we got it from another friend of ours. Imagine playing for more than 5 years and those items still haven't drop for us!!! Same goes for other items we're looking for. We tried everything and every game mode but those items won't drop. 😏😠

So I have been running the DZ lately as my PVE dude has been on vacation that I normally run with. You can and will get melted even by non cheaters.. Sword will tell you that! lol However, even if you just go in and clear a few landmarks you will easily get hard to come by FIELD RECON DATA (4 of them for the landmarks with 3 purple bars and a star) the other give you like 2-3... AND no extraction required.. This is great for leveling up your gear and you can clear a landmark as quickly as you can clear a level 4 control point in the open world. TIP. find one that is red which means someone is already clearing it.. Get a few shots on NPCs and the boss and as long as they clear it you still get the Field Recon Data. Also, if you do pickup some gear you wanna extract do it while there is a manhunt going on in the server.. generally people are more interested in finding the manhunt than rolling up on some extraction.. run pulse keep your head on a swivel... With high risk comes high reward.. the recon data alone is worth it.. even if you die, respawn, come back out, finish clearing it, and you still get the reward..
