Gorgeous piece of wood tommi. As always a great instructional video. Thanks for sharing. When I do squarish bowls I leave the 4 sides as natural as the timber is especially those with natural edges. I turn the wing into part of the bowl and don’t have it as a hard interaction to the bowl, my wife and I prefer this as do those that buy my work. However I do still like the simplistic design of your bowl, and occasionally will do these .

Those are great as well Greg, I'll do several versions of the winged bowls soon on video, these are always fun until the wing get you😉😅

You mention coffee grounds for filling the splits. Quite black no? Would sawdust from the turning, plus the CA glue, work as well?
@tomislavtomasicwoodturning3 ай бұрын
You can use what you like,you can use big contrast like coffee or the same wood sawdust.... Personal preference I guess😀

Probably my mistake. In this video it looks as though you are using a right-angle drill whereas in some older videos where you power sand it looked to me as though you were using a regular drill. This one looked nice and shiny to me too, as if it were brand new.@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning
