Regarding the "must hit by" progressives, I did not know the next hit by amount is set at the exact second the current progressive is hit. This explains why the progressive is sometimes hit long before the must hit by amount is reached. Theoretically, you could have back-to-back hits, I guess. The Ainsworth must-hit-by-$10,000 progressives will take $50,000 worth of bets to increase the progressive by $100, so keep that in mind while playing. It's nice to play once it gets closer to the max, but as mentioned in this video it is a big risk to chase it and not as easy as you might think without knowing exactly how much money it really takes to get closer to the max.

So it can take $75K of spins for the Major and $25K of spins for the minor to grow by $100. We probably need at least $30K bankroll to guarantee the Major if it’s $100 away with no guarantee that we’ll be ahead when we get the Major. It might be worth the chase when it’s a $100 away to increase your tier. Looks like I have to have my bank branch in Vegas order $30K for withdrawal 1 week prior to my next trip to Vegas, in a rare chance that a Major is at $9,900.

Tried regal riches a couple times and found exactly what you said. It can take a very long time to hit the "must hit" number. I do still check the machines a few times because every once in a while you will find someone left it with 8+ blue wilds and then I find it's worth it's worth playing until they hit. Also not a fan of the games with multiple different bonuses. Just seems like unless you get a double pop they can be pretty underwhelming as usually two of the three arent very good on their own.

I believe most of the Ainsworth games are set to trigger VERY near the top possible number. It is NOT a linear function. Only play these if the meter movement will guarantee you will get to the must hit by number soon enough to cover your investment. You'll probably wind up losing 20% of your bets while playing. So if you find one that is VERY near the top possible value, you should play it, but otherwise avoid them because your chances of hitting it early is effectively zero.

Love buffalo ascension, there are 2 arrows in the middle reel, 1 is for regular super stampede. and the other is for the progressive jackpot, and yes the 'progressive jackpot' is extremely hard to hit, and the progressive arrow only appears when you grow up the reel by regular arrows, so you can enter the 'super stampede with just arrow growth, the ' progressive yellow arrow is hard to hit, not sure what the chance are but it's there, i have gotten a hand pay of $1500 form $1 bet

The true way to play advantage slots and win every time is to find the ones with the sticky symbols that turn wild on spin 10, Look for dummies who left guaranteed wins just sitting there, you do this by going through all of the denominations, you may have to check multiple machines before finding one, or could find 2 back to back, or none. If you see someone left it after spin 9 with sticky symbols in guaranteed pay positions, you can't lose, they didn't understand how the game works and you get paid guaranteed with one spin, a bit riskier is if you see a guaranteed win but there is more than one spin required, there is still an advantage in some cases with these, but not 100% guaranteed like my first example..

The pigs getting bigger is not important, but the number of games or wild symbols is important. "Rich Little Piggies" is an advantage play. I don't know the cutoff numbers, but the EV for the player rises as the number of games associated with the blue pig goes up.

Buffalo Ascension: I only play it if these conditions are met: Reel 2: 1 away. Reel 3: 1 or 2 away. Reel 4: 1 or 2 away. If these conditions are met I will designate an amount to use (typically the 100 spins rule) and only use that. Buffalo Ascension's 1st and 5th reels are only 3 high and never grow; those DRASTICALLY cut down on your line hits to float the gameplay while trying to trigger the bonus features. Buffalo Ascension does have a 'surprise' feature that is exceedingly rare, but will force a reel to the top; I've only had it happen when a reel is 1 away, though. I stop IMMEDIATELY when one of the above conditions fails the check. I also never play expecting the middle reel to hit nor do I chase it.

The problem with the Buffalo Ascension machine is that there are very aggressive advantage players that scout that machine at my local casino and they literally stand on top of people playing that machine and make sure no one else can play the advantage machines when they exist.

The key on these is to calculate the must hit buys, however you want to low roll these slots to tip the progressive when you are grinding them. For example if its going to 750$ worth of bets to guarantee the hit, bet 50 cents to minimize your losses before you hit. Most slots payback about 90%, however volatility plays a way bigger role when you have fewer spins on big bets. For example if its going to take $750 of bets to guaruntee the progressive if you are betting 50 cents, evem if you run bad you will probably only lose 100 or 200 dollars before popping a $500 progressive. On the other hand if you are max betting $5, you could easily run cold and lose more than the progressive pays out. All things being equal, I'd rather guarantee profit by low rolling than risk getting torched on a big bet.

I do like playing regal riches mostly for the entertainment factor, but all you're playing for is the wilds cause the line pays do suck pretty bad. I'm pretty good at stopping myself from falling into the chase trap tho no matter what game it is, that can really drain your bankroll. I caught myself last week doing it until I realized what I was doing and made myself move on. Someone else sat down and started doing it and it didn't pay him either.

I always do a stroll through before I decide on a slot. The casinos where I’m at, they do this sneaky thing were they have three or four of that devil slot with the big wheel. And it looks like it’s about ready to hit, everything is on fire. But what they don’t tell you is there are two or three groupings of that machine throughout the casino so instead of playing against two other people it’s ten plus people. So you gotta make a walk around and check the jackpots. And check the jackpots of similar games across the casino.

Class II must hit by $70 I played for a long time when the amount was at $62- it moved SLOWLY at $4 Max bet I’d alternate lower- lowest bet was 40 cents (but I kept getting good line hits that kept me afloat) - it finally hit the $70 when it was at $69.68 ! For Buffalo Ascension, if you read the game rules it says the odds of the arrow appearing change depending on the reel height and the prize, so it is definitely not a advantage slot! When the reels are higher they make the arrow harder to hit so the RTP is still the same! And even if you get the feature they rig it so if the reels are high the feature doesn't give you any buffalos. Love seeing the "advantage players" getting their ass kicked at this game after they harassed some poor player off the game.

I played firecracker one game exactly once. Needed 1 more firecrack on each one ( had no idea about them). 1st time I played the Firecracker game, I won by dumb luck thinking that the Firecrackers were ready to pop at any moment so kept increasing the bets then finally hit a Triple Pop bonus (VERY LUCKY) at the max bet at dimes ($49.50?) after ~$1,500 in. I have a question about eagle bucks by ainsworth, can you win the progressive if you don't play all the lines. For example on a 5 line $1 denom if you only played 3 lines can you still win that progressive amount?

I call the the slots mentioned potential AP machines" and I personally don't waste my time playing them. Newer machines have replaced these must hit slots. Wheel of Fortune, Golden Jungle, are two of the more popular ones, so much so, that I have seen players virtually waiting behind the person playing, hoping they will leave the machine in an advantage mode. I don't approve of this, but in Vegas, it's become a very competitive horse race. Perhaps you can comment on this on your next video.

i'd say Buff Ascension type of games (reminded me of Hexbreaker 3 where each col can grow until you 'hit' the top of the col prize...more like a Volatile play slot, not really sure if i'd call it as advantage play...

I have had a lot better results with Regal Riches than with Buffalo Ascension. With Regal Riches, I can tell pretty closely what a bonus will pay. With Buffalo there is such a wide range a stampede (or free game bonus) can pay, that there is no way of telling if it is worth playing.

I love the 'Buffalo' slots....but Ascension is my least favorite. The first gen. slot or Gold is the best.

Buffalo Gold is my worst slot game. Hard to get the bonus.
