Uhhh You failed to mention the other negative to moving into one of the bigger homes. Annual or Monthly HOA Fees. Very Expensive, every homeown pays in rhat type of neighborhood.

I'd like to think that every home, no matter where, has a type of "HOA fee". Because every home has to pay for water, trash, and maintenance of the neighborhood (in the form of taxes), etc. The extra fee which is pretty nominal, Maybe $20 a month, is what's paid to the management company that handles the payments and fees for the vendors. But what concerns me about HOAs are the rules and sometimes the mismanagement of the fees.

Most of the houses downtown were built by the people that worked at the citrus packing houses. I wonder if the Big Radio antenna is still there at my old house on Arrow by Campus. My old house was built in 1921 by a man who was a board member of The Upland Lemon Growers Association. His name was Chad Francisco.

I don't remember seeing any radio tower on Campus and Arrow. It's pretty amazing how much development there has been. And this area IS the path of more progress, so there will be more and more development in the future.

You can't miss the tower. On Arrow Hwy on the South Side West of Campus 4 Houses. We built it in 1979. It has fallen into disrepair. Basically it's a 40ft tower with a 50ft horizontal boom at the top. I was a 20 meter (14mhz) HAM Radio Antenna. All Home built. The Tower was built out of the Grain Elevator tubing from the Old Upland Feed And Fuel that was next to the Grove Theater on 3rd ave.

Where you are standing on 21st and Palm was nothing but citrus groves years ago. I remember pretty much the only houses up the hill were grove houses.

Those groves had amazing views of the area. Because the homes on 21st and up have tremendous views.

You’re going to see more homes being built near train stations. Transit-oriented development is a huge thing for now and the foreseeable future.

Well, not too much, because there isn't much public transportation here in the IE.

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I truly appreciate the feedback. Yeah, it's, on average, more expensive than city south of the 10, like Ontario and Montclair.

Question, you said by downtown is a good area but by railroads might not be as good. But isn’t railroad in downtown? Any specific particular railroad area?
@Californialiving
@Californialiving 3 ай бұрын
There's a community that butts up next to the railroad, like 15 ft away. So there is noise and vibration from that. A block or 2 away from the railroad is way quieter. If noise is an issue I'd look for a house 2 or 3 blocks away.

If it were only that simple. Costs keep rising and it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon.
