This whole mask deal has nearly eliminated my makeup usage over the past year! I have discovered a mascara tandem that I am enjoying though. I am using the Lash Paradise & then layering on a coat of their new Air Volume. Great results, no smudging or flaking! Also been re-evaluating my skincare & hair care routines. Trying new products & techniques to make the most of my wavy hair. I have the opposite issues to yours. My hair & skin are seriously DRY, so moisturizing but not looking greasy is the trick!

The stuff that is hyped on TikTok I think the stuff is nice, but because drugstore makeup is getting better and most of these people trying them out are new to makeup, its just a surprise to them I think cause we all think in our heads drugstore makeup is just ok makeup. When lately there has been some drugstore makeup that beats the higher end in my opinion. Its not that They are this amazing formula, its just its really good drugstore makeup.

Okay so I'm not saying you have to do it. I don't want to tell you to buy things JUST for a review. But I wanted to bring to your attention Halsey makeup line release " About Face". Idk if you've seen it, but I love that she markets it as art tools and your face being the canvas. She encourages using her makeup line as paints in a way to color outside the lines making them very easy to mix and blend. Idk I thought since you're an artist it might be fun to see what you create with them! Just an idea! Hope you're well!

Yes, Josie's argan oil is the best! I found a 3-pack of small ones at Marshall's and thought it was a fluke. It was on sale too for $15! What!? I was so happy. It's great for healing skin and an overall moisturizer in winter.

I used to like ipsy but the last year they haven't been so great and they charge a lot for ipsy where I live so I switched to boxycharm and honestly love it I get to build my eye-shadow palette collection and I get some products I would never think to buy and try because I aint about to go out and spend a huge amount on higher end products

The alamar primer says its a pigment primer so that's why it was so sticky. It's probably not intended for regular eyeshadow, you're probably supposed to use it to pack on pigments and/or glitters not use it all over the lid and blend shadow on top.

I saw zabrena rave about the foundation powder. Idk if you know about her. She's an oily gal. 🤷‍♀️ not saying you have to like something because someone else did. When thinking about the make up I wore for February it is all the exact same. Because I was in a show for the first three weeks of it. I found that the brown liquid pen eyeliner from butter London is great and also that I really dislike every mascara that I own. The bare minerals original primer continues to be fantastic.. and the new “Hibiscus Paradise” smell from bath and body works makes me feel like I am on a beach vacation with five of my best middle age mom friends

I used the primer only as kind of like a glitter glue. It’s not good for buffing and blending, but works well if you are just packing the pigment on top.

I feel like powders in general don’t work well on oily skin because they combine with the oil throughout the day and get all patchy and practically slide off or just disappear. I used bare minerals and the makeup forever velvet matte for many years and I didn’t even realize how horrible they were until I wore a matte liquid foundation.

Cassie!!!! I have to say, I’m suuuper bummed to hear the Maven Beauty video didn’t do well because personally, I loved it!!!! I actually went back and watched it again to make notes of the things I wanted to try out and placed an order. I hope you continue to film videos like that once in a while, there is something so much fun about watching someone try products for the first time and seeing their excitement when they find something they really like and if they find something they can’t stand. Love that pink cream shadow. That's so similar to one of the main colors I used on my wedding day. I've been looking for that shade for so long. I believe the single I had was from Maybelline over 35 yrs ago. Highly doubt they still make that color. ☹ The closest I've come to finding it is in a lighter tone. Would love to have that color but I just can't see myself spending that much money on 1 stick. Anyone know of a product that's close in color but on the cheaper end? Would really appreciate the help. I have recently discovered a wonderful drug store hand cream. I love how quickly it absorbs into the skin. It has a nice light sent. The Gold Bond Ultimate healing hand cream. Its become my favorite.

That’s been my favorite for years. I always have one of the minis in my purse and in several rooms in my house. It really does heal the skin too, not just moisturize it. I’ve been getting allergic rashes lately and it’s the best thing for clearing it up.
