According to Samson's email reply to me today - the Samson G-Track pro microphone is NOT actually a 24bit / 96kHz microphone. On the off chance that this is a technical support training issue, could you please confirm (in windows sound) that it is actually being detected at 24bit / 96kHz, either single or two channel? There also do not appear to be any kernel mode drivers.

G track pro is the best of all these mics because i got them all . G Track mic is very useful because you get a good interface. My experience is its more high end than low but you just use your EQ to adjust what you like its warm sounding mic great for me because i do a lots of recording acoustic and singing. The best thing is it's more portable than people would think why ? because you don't need to bring an interface if you travel just the mic no extra wires. I have very expensive mics compared to this mic sounds as good and it's a cheaper price and if I lose it I can get another one instead of losing expense mics. you;ll probably never use again anyway once you try this mic. And also the mic stays up won't tip over break and blow your hearing out like some of the mic shown.

(Pros) Razor- Micro USB (lol) Yeti- 4 modes, including stereo Samson- Full Interface and good audio Rode- Best audio and Filter included (Cons) Razor- Pretty "Eh" at everything else Yeti- Audio good but worse than Samson and Rode Samson- Missing Stereo, Too bulky for portability Rode- Has nothing else to offer, not extras at all For me I'd pick the Rode, to make music of course. You only need the cardioid setting to record music, and it comes with a filter. Now all you need is a DAW and you're ready to go! Also you've got the best sound quality.

Hello, I was wondering if you could give me a little advice. Now with the Covid-19, I find myself using Zoom to talk to other people. I would like to purchase a proper USB microphone to connect to my PC. To give you an overall idea of my space, I will be on Zoom, in my home office, with my PC on my desk, a fan blowing behind and off the side of the PC. The microphone will be placed in front of the PC and there will be three people lined up in front of the microphone about 1-2 feet away. The Blue Yeti sounds like it would be good for what I need; in fact it might be too good. I like that it has a 3.5mm headphone port, so I can monitor the sound (latency free). I also like that can adjust the gain on the microphone. My concern with the Blue Yeti and with other microphones that I have seen on your channel is whether the voices of the 3 people speaking 1-2 feet away will be transmitted with enough volume and with quality. Would you recommend this microphone, or would I be better served with something else? Preferably, something cheaper. Thanks very much. Luis

@Foxhood
@Foxhood 5 жыл бұрын
Very late, but the issue is very common. The problem is a Sampling desync. If you are recording at 16bit/44Khz you should make sure that your Headphone output is also set 16bit/44khz. if they ain't the same the microphone starts to have trouble communicating and start seeming to be a choppy with the status led at the front blinking red constantly.

Your impression of the low frequencies in these microphones is probably off because of the speakers you are using. Speakers with tiny drivers like that will not be able to reproduce low frequencies very well. If you are going to do audio reviews, I would suggest proper studio monitors to form a more objective opinion, especially in regard to frequency range.
@PaulSebastianM
@PaulSebastianM 3 жыл бұрын
Dude, the reason digital mics have headphone out ports is zero latency monitoring for when you have a singer that needs and wants to hear themselves in the headphones without any lag so they can adjust their singing, volume, distance from mic, etc. Without this feature, you'd be having them listen to their voice coming back from the PC, which introduces a few milliseconds of delay which totally mess up your singing and concentration.

Hey man, did you end up getting it? I'm considering getting it as well - currently tossing between the Rode NT-USB or the Blue Yeti. What are your thoughts?
@kodyconnell
@kodyconnell 4 жыл бұрын
@@cobot2557 personally, I'm going to be purchasing the rode nt usb microphone. I am connecting it to a rode ps1 boom arm with a rode sm6 shock mount. This combination will ensure that no unwanted rumbles or vibrations are picked up when recording. In my opinion, the nt usb has the best sound quality out of the others, but of course its personal preference. Hope this helps!!

I have the rode nt over a year and never had fallen, and you are not supposed to be touching it all the time, just adjust it to one position and that is it. Is a awesome mic, the only down side, big one, it doesn't have a mute button

I have the Røde Microphone, sound quality is really awesome, I agree that the tripod stand is not the best, but I wanted to get a mic holder anyways (so it kinda hangs above/in front of me) because I don't like my mic standing between me and my keyboard. It's way more convenient 😉 idk why he said it's not solid, please don't believe that, the build quality is pretty neat. And he did acknowledge that it has the best sound quality and for me that's the most important thing if I'm looking to buy a good mic, so yeah I can 100% recommend the Røde 👍
