Nice review. Regrettable that you did not elaborate on the mentioned painful initial set up of this tool. Reports are that many invasive and unnecessary questions are being asked when attempting to activate some of these tools. is this one of them?

1. you need fresh email 2. it sends a security code if I remember correctly to validate your account. feels like you are activating mobile banking. 3. it will prompt you to log it from time to time ... can be ignored by hitting back 4. monitors you GPS location ... for every scan this is what I remember, not deal breakers, but annoying stuff. After that data logging is a bit annoying see the video about testing the BMW battery and later compare with the xtool ...

Fantastic review. I love the details you provide. Would you say that the Pro Elite is just as capable less the topography and smaller screen? I mainly work on friends and family vehicles. 2013 Lexus RX350, 2012 Honda Civic, 2010 Honda Civic, 2007 Honda Pilot, 2007 Toyota Corolla, 2020 MB suv. Am i fine with the Pro Elite? I am waiting for my Pro Elite, got a great price at $525

you are correct. The Pro ELITE is just as capable as the more expensive units, minus topology, minus the screen, minus a clear ECU matching function in service functions (however you can access something similar in a different way).
