The D7 is the best tool for the amount of money you spend on it. ... Add Blue Functions, I don't see it in the special functions tab ... maybe you can find it once you diagnose the Engine ECU in a Special function of the engine or sometime they group it in the DPF function.

Hi, just editing xtool d7 vs TopDon artidiag ... did not have the pleasure to use the Launch or the ThinkCar. Right now the D7 is really well priced 263gbp and is the best at data logging.

The charging port on the D7 allows data communications - you just need to go to settings network or something and click something like allow communication. You will need to do that every time you restart the unit as it goes on a default no com just charging ... I don't know what the SK-1 is

with the Xtool products, I would not recommend them for the ECU coding because they can be hit and miss. The xtool is ok for diagnostics, but for ECU coding, I don't really trust it. I trust Launch more for that. What vehicle do you want to use it on?

I have D7S. To hard to use because they are few vehicles that I cannot use auto scan. It always says not supported even if the Vin read out.

Mitsubishi xpander cross2020. on that vehicle, the scanner shut the engine off while trying to scan the module. Auto scan are no use. Maybe old vehicles will. I cannot use all system scan or auto scan. The scanner always says the Vin not supported. I tried older cars like Montero 2012, swift 07 , grand starex 09 it can perform well but the auto scan is no use. I need some update here.

I would like to reset the fuel additive sensor related to the P1932 error code. I've filled up the additive tank and even replaced it, but my 2009 Volvo V70 1.6D with 109 horsepower still indicates a low level. Does the XTOOL D7S have the capability to reset the fuel additive sensor for my specific vehicle model?

I have educated myself, and you have a strange fluid on the VOLVO cars. To answer your first question. I have not ever done this procedure. There is a high chance the Xtool will be able to do it. But you will need to go to the module that controls that function and start the function from there not from the special function menu. after you buy it you get 3 year free updates, after that, depending on the tool , for D7 it was appox $100/year for updates, you can get the updates. You don't need them, the tool still works. Yes ... i have all the vehicles state and more :) . would appreciate if you buy it from one of our links , if you decide of getting one

I have the Xtool A30M. It has feee lifetime updates and is fully bidirectional and has all systems scans. Best scanner you can ever get for the money. Nothing compares.

It is a marketing strategy. With these tools you will see that they limit the functions to be able to sell at different price points. the D7 has CAN FD and DOIP although on many sites they say it does not. ECU coding is dependent on vehicle platform. Sometimes is in the menu, sometimes it is not. Overall when buying this tool you are buying a diagnostic tool not a coding tool. The coding if it is there is a bonus. Also many of the people that sell these devices never use them ... so they don't understand what they are selling.

@@Brko-bm3qi this is a grey zone. some say that the BMW F series are DOIP. I use the d7 and d7s on the f10, f25 and I used it on the G30 .

@@Brko-bm3qi well if we take in account that the BMW Icom is the IP Gold standard, and also the BMW ENET cable is doing all the stuff with IP addresses, I would say that all F series are DoIP. But,This DoIP is ambiguous as I have not seen a clear brief and example what it is and what vehicle has it . Some are selling the DOIP as Diagnostic via the Internet, vs we don't use CAN any more, because it is slow, and we have a much faster network DOIP. My advice, get the tool that you like, test it on the vehicle that you want to work on. If it doesn't perform ok send it back. There is to much marketing outhere. My belief is that the D7 has DOIP + CAN FD, but I can't scientifically prove it or test it.
