Phenomenal vid and thanks for taking the time to show off the current collection! I think Pro-Tech does so well because of the integrity both in the products and how they treat the customers and dealers. It’s been a joy to be a small part of it! (Alright, alright, sounds like you’re looking for a magic) Thanks a bunch man! -PT Matt

Good call. If used in a specialized ops situation, not only could someone easily wear all black or black pants, but in the dark it could be much easier to find the butt of the knife. I'd assume that the tritium go button is planned to avoid possible mistakes in the dark.

I acquired a PT SBR and SnG over the last couple months. They’re both BHQ exclusives in S45VN. They’re both built extremely well, and the factory edges are the best I’ve seen on production knives, so far. I’m definitely interested in getting more PT’s in the future, especially a Malibu. 🤠

I just ordered a BladeHQ exclusive SBR yesterday: DLC coated S45VN blade with natural/Jade G-10 show scale. I'm impressed that a guy your size still finds the SBR comfortable in the hand, that says a lot about the design ergonomics. I'm much smaller, 5'-10" 145 lbs so I'm sure I'll love this knife as much as my TR-3. Still hoping I can find a Pro-tech SNG at some point, always loved the design of that knife.

I have a couple of the magic whisker knives, cool and fun watching people try to open them. I also like the rockeye short blade, I have a green one with her copper blade that looks really cool. I could say the one that I do not like the most is the boker Kwaiken. When you put your hand in your pocket you can get a cut from the tip. As a person that's used to using a Kobalt folding utility knife as their EDC, but wants to upgrade to something a bit more classy, Any recommendations? Most interested in a knife that fits a wide palm and long fingers while also not having a dagger-like point on it. With that in mind, I've had my eyes on a Sheepdog XL, or CRKT Ripsnort. I do like the palm filling size and the cleaver or sheep's foot style blade of those two. Are there any knives that y'all think better fit those preferences?

Sweet knives, cool video. I think the reason Protech can charge so much for a "D2" blade is because they use CPM D2 (powder form steel from Crucible), which performs incredibly well. It's not the typical tool steel we commonly see on more inexpensive knives. I'm not sure what pricing was like 2 years ago, but I assume that's a little dated now anyways. Starting to see these come out in steels likee Cruwear, which is just awesome.

I'm newer to the knife scene myself! I have found a few pages I like including this one. But I have a question that I'm kinda jumbled on. I live in Washington & it is illegal to carry a spring blade knife. Would the CRKT m21 be against that law? Having a difficult time understanding.
@krislong9338
@krislong9338 3 жыл бұрын
Isn't the M21 a flipper? If so it's legal, thoguh if you were committing a crime they could charge you for having a >3 inch knife used in the commission of said crime. AFAIK assisted openers are also okay, just not switchblades, gravity knives, ballistic knives and balisong - not sure about open carry but as long as that M21 isn't cnoverted to auto you should be okay.

Love the SBR built with a knurled green handle and Newport with the 3D wave patter in S35VN But...... I live in Canada..... NO Autos/Assisted/OTF at all.

A fellow Canadian! Although you can have Assisted, its just that it won’t get passed border security. Buy them in stores at like Cutting Edge Co.

@@blamehoodohhcanada5860 Thanks for the heads up, but not really a big fan of assisted anyway. People are always so frightened of things they don't understand

I had Boker Protech Kwaiken auto and the action was sub par at best.

Boker built it, I would lean toward them for blame. Cheap springs could be an issue. I have one of their cheaper autos and it's okay but not very fast.
