Bestsellers at craft fairs! RESIN bottle stoppers and can openers using TEEXPERT CRYSTAL EPOXY RESIN

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel on KZbin, having fun creating and in this tutorial let me show you what sells really well at craft fairs or open houses etc., these are bottle stoppers and bottle openers made from resin, they sell really well as smaller items and are normally the first to sell out, make them in advance and next time you host a stand somewhere you’ll have them ready. I’m making mine in advance and I’ll be keeping some for myself because they are so useful and original in design let me show you how to make this yourself.

You can dip the flowers in resin before you place them and they will not float .

I use 5 minute 2 part epoxy to attach my stoppers… You made some beautiful stoppers and openers!!! I’ve been going back and forth about the openers… I think I will go ahead and get the mould for them… hopefully you can order extra metal pieces for them….

Thanks 💕 in use superglue mostly but any strong glue for plastic will work.

For the bottle stoppers, wouldn’t you need casting resin since they’re deep? Trying to determine what resin is best

No, it's not too deep but I did them in 2 pours for the flowers so they wouldn't float to the top.

I’m having a devil of a time demolding them!! Any thoughts? My first time using the molds

@KrisMader-h8l try soaking them in water, makes it easier to un mold.

Can we put any type of flower in the resin? Live? Artificial? What should I NOT put in resin

Never put live flowers in resin, they will rot a nasty brown colour in a matter of weeks, always use driedflowers.

I Edna, these are beautiful. Could you use the bottle stoppers with the screws and ball on in eco resin, as im unable to use resin due to a medical problem. Thanku. X

Good question, I've never tried since I can't get the same transparent effect with pureCure but you should try and see if it works and let me know 😉😉😍😍

A couple years ago, my husband took great pleasure in finding flowers around our neighborhood, bringing them home (with our neighbors' permission), and drying them in silicone for me. But to our horror and disappointment, they soon began to lose their color. Have you experienced this? If not, what are we doing wrong? He followed directions, they originally turned out nice. But within months... They were useless. Help! 😢

Hi Jay, it's true that certain flowers will lose their richness when dried, I don't dry light color or pastel-toned flowers, these tend to fade to off-white once dried. I usually use bright-coloured flowers and don't overdo the drying time, just a few days should do. 😉😉
