I have a pool cover for one of the smaller versions and the cover is amazing! it keeps so much warmth in the pool. It's like a heated pool in the summer.

I was a little concerned about the mixed reviews, but I used it last year and hooked it up again this year and it was great kzbin.infoUgkx-izdrK3eF-HMvjzeBOxToD6Fx-4ulJUh . I couldn't get my 10' Intex pool above 76 degrees the year prior and last year I got it to 90 and had to put ice in it. This worked so well! I have just 1 mat hooked up to a 1,000 GPH Intex pump and it makes a significant reduction in the flow rate coming back into the pool, but that is to be expected with how far the water has to travel through the mat.

I subscribed and like. May I ask … I am confused about the connections that go from the inside wall of the best ways pool to the A and BB to the outside to connect to the tubing to the pump. What is the name of the valves ? It just is not clear what comes out from the water side wall to protrude so the pump hoses can connect and not leak. Hope this is not too poorly described for you to assist my understand. Some valve or connector has to be able to connect tightly to the tubing and yet what then in the inside water wall is connected so that it stays tightly against the inner wall. Thanks buddy for any clarity.

Great videos. I found you last year when I purchased this exact pool and needed some tips. Nice to see you have upgraded and started another channel. Your right about that cover. You did a pretty good job getting it on there, lol. Have you ever considered running the solar pad separately from the main pump. Last year we didn't find the pad added much warmth. My guess is the water traveled too quickly thru it, and it did not have a chance to heat up. Also I live in eastern Canada, so I suspect if it cooled off at all and I was still running the pump, I was just pushing cold water thru the solar pad. I have watched several videos of ideas of using a separate pump or a diverter valve among other things. I was just curious if you ever considered it. Thanks

@marsflee3815
@marsflee3815 Жыл бұрын
If I was an inventor, I would put floaters on the cover's underside, so that it keeps the cover leveled with the top of the lining so that when it rains the water can run off and doesn't gather in the middle. Taking it off after a good soaking rain is a struggle, then all the leaves in the water make their way into the pool. It's frustrating having to clean the pool again- all while trying to keep it clean by adding that cover. 🙄

I'm in Massachusetts, I drain it past the filter intakes, so I can put the filter inside and cover it. My in-laws are from NC and they leave their pool up and running all year long. As long as water doesn't freeze in the lines or filter, it's fine.

I don't bother with any of that stuff. I grew up with an in-ground pool, so aside from the actual pool itself, everything else on these pools is sub-standard durability/power wise. I know I have to replace hoses clamps and upgrade the weak pumps to something more reasonable. I just bought a Bestway for short money from a friend that's moving. It will replace an Intex pool that I have had for 10 years. Never collapsed it, always drained it at the end of the season with a submersible pump. Even with Intex dual plugs to drain, they are a real pain to undo from the inside without getting in it to undo them. I take an oversize tarp after draining and put it over the pool, so it lines the bottom and sides and tie full water jugs to it to hold in place. Both pool covers are a joke and flimsy, and are most likely to get leaves, water, snow and ice in my area (New England) and cave the cover in over the winter. With the tarp, I just drain any water collected during the colder months off in the late spring, let it dry the leaves that have collected and pull the tarp out. Pool is nice and clean and ready to fill. The standard pump that comes with either one of these pools is nowhere near powerful enough in the long run. GPH wise, it needs to be cycled through more often than the standard pump that came with it, which you'll discover after you fill the pool and go through pollen, rain (iron in the water) etc. because most folks don't put the cover on after EVERY single time it's used. The durability of the pool itself is second to none, you can't go wrong. It is like a 3-layer ingrained mesh material that really holds up well. Just upgrade the other parts as you go, and these do last well beyond the manufacturer's estimates.

We are having a heck of time getting this pool up! We are ready to trash the whole thing. We leveled the yard, brought in sand and put the pool together. Started filling it with water and the middle on both sides started bowing inward. Though we did something wrong, got scared and drained it and started over. Same issue, only this time one side bowed in till it bent the B bar! There is no getting in touch with Bestway for assistance. We are at a loss.

I was in the same boat last year. I told my wife I was going to take my knife and slit it down the side. I thought the sides were going to bow and break while filling it. Although, the sides straightened out the fuller it got. I also worried about the u supports and vertical supports being plumb and square but they ended up not being a problem. The u supports may move slightly when filling but don't worry to much about it. The reason for the horrible directions is because bestway/Coleman/cosco didn't know how to do it either. We enjoyed our pool all last summer and just got it ready for this year. I was just questioning everything because it didn't seem right and the directions sucked. I came to the conclusion that I'm either a lot smarter than my wife tells me I am or I'm one of the dumbest mf'rs around. Good luck
