Thank you so much for making this video. My new to me 350RR drained the battery first ride and was not charging. Did a lot of research and came across your video. I didnt entirely remove the harness but pulled it back to the throttle body, soldered shitty crimps, added grounds and beefed up diode wiring wiring. Went from 12.6 to 13.7 volts. Thanks again!

Awesome, glad you were able to figure it out! Happy riding!

my voltage was 13.4 one time and 15.3 the next time (different batteries connected at the time) does the rectifier charge higher when the voltage at the battery is lower?

Hey Thanks for the info, I purchased a used 2018 390 recently and was not aware of this SB. I am also having hanging idle issues which my dealer is trying to sort out. Might be a defective throttle body. Thanks again!

I never had hanging idle, but I've heard from other Beta guys it could be in need of a throttle position sensor reset. Google how to do it. The basic idea is you start the bike and let it warm up completely (fan comes on) without touching the throttle.

Hi friend, is it just adding thicker wires to ground and from the regulator to the diodes? as seen in the schematic

And making sure the connections are solid

Is this fix for fuel injected bikes, or can you say swap that 2019.5 harness for a 2013 4t 350 RR for a quicker fix? Thanks-great video.

I'm actually not sure how far back the harness is compatible. I do know that the issues I had was mostly related to the EFI setup.

How about the hard starting engine of beta 300rr...when the engine is cold it's easy to start but when the engine is already heat the current of the ECU have no more....do you have an idea for this problem of my beta300rr

I do not know. I never worked on the two stroke beta models

Can you solder the original crimps or is that not a good idea?
@ExtremeSportsWannaBes2 жыл бұрын
You def can. I don't think it would be enough though. The wires are a bit on the small side and it's good to add a ground connection.

why can't I just go straight to the battery?
@Mxxxxa3083 жыл бұрын
How many volts did you have? now I have 12,8 - 13,2 V to the battery, and it is always low. Did you had this problem?
@ExtremeSportsWannaBes3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, before the fix I was seeing 12.xx, too low to charge properly. After I rewired it, I got that up to 13.4 which mostly worked. Beta also has a recall on the wire loom which should get you to the full 14.xx

Hi I would like do you think is it problem if my beta rr 390 2018 charge 15+ volts ? When it is on idle it starts at 13,7-14 but when you let it or add a bit of throttle it goes to 15+
@Alda06121 Жыл бұрын
Do you know what can cause it ? Or if is it a big issue

Did you fix this? Mine is charging 19.5 volts with throttle...
@Alda061219 ай бұрын
@@ghazik3656 not yet, but I had to do the wiring again, tommorow I will test it how much does it charge and I will write you, if it is still charging more than it should be, if it is the regulator will be the issue for 90 %
