My problem is that I seriously love the song, seemingly so much that I get choked up when I try singing along. I end up just quietly listening & playing the guitar chords on my air guitar! Good times! Awesome song & singer! Suzy Boggus does a killer rendition, as well! 👍

Years back I was emailing back and forth with Judy Collins about the prospect of doing a reprise of this album. At the time (late 1990s) all the original players were still alive and Judy said that our conversation had inspired her to do such an album with all the original musicians (James Burton, Stephen, Chris Ethridge, Jim Gordon, Van Dyke Parks, etc.). Judy told me that she had recently been writing country songs and they would fit perfectly into that album. Of course she would have had to perform another version of Someday Soon. As we know, it never came to pass, and sadly, we watched the backing musicians pass one by one. While Chris Ethridge died earlier, when Buddy Emmons died, that was the end of any hope she would pull this off. Love you Judy, wishing tho tha that you had followed thru on this project idea.

I certainly remember the first time I ever heard Suite Judy Blue Eyes. It was the fall of 1969. I had just bought something in the Casper, WY K-Mart which was piping a local radio station though the store intercom system. As I was walking toward the exit I the intro to SJBE and the lyrics, "It's getting to the point that I'm no fun anymore," stopped me dead in my tracks.
