Ben Whittaker is another hype train. He's skilful and quick, but he reminds me of Eubank Jr. A showboater with no substance or desire to dig deep when the going gets tough. With regard to the main event, while I don't think anyone would have disputed a draw, I thought Beterbiev just shaded it. Bivol was very eye-catching in the early stages of the fight, and of most rounds, too, but Beterbiev finished all of them strongly and won a few rounds himself. He actively chased the fight with aggression and his output was nothing short of insane. Almost 700 punches at 39 years old at light heavy!! Incredible stats. Your two quotes had me in stitches too: Hamza will knock his beard back to Turkey, and Connor Benn wearing a bin bag. The pair of them have traded on their far better father's names and squandered whatever talent they might have had.

The Bivol fight was a great one. I DO think Bivol won that one though. Despite not seemingly hurting him he was putting leather all over old boy all night. Much more cleanly. I had him up by 3 rounds. At worst I was thinking a draw, just based on typical judge shenanigans...but in the back of my mind I was feeling that they'd fuck it up somehow...and they did. I can see arguing for a draw, but I can't see claiming Bivol actually lost. Ignore everything else and watch the fight, don't pay attention who who's older, how old he is, whether he got hurt, just watch and see Bivol putting in that work all night. So did Beterbiev, no doubt. But I still think Bivol was robbed by corrupt judges. Not as badly as GGG was in those 2 Canelo fights, but still badly enough to make me wish for a natural disaster solely focused on Boxing Judges.

He was gonna get knocked out if that fight continued, he looked gassed and was eating a lot of shots to the body. He’s not ready to fight anyone in the top 50 imo. He’s too raw. I don't think he saved himself. That dive was nasty and more embarrassing than a normal KO. That said: i think there's 2 possibilities. If that was the fluke then fine it doesn't really matter. But if that's just the extension of his ability i don't think any improvement will make up for it. Don't get me wrong you can improve. But there's a huge gap between Regional and Global, and everyone above you is improving as well. I think the Showboating was just Benjamin's way to make the most of what he got. I think he'll have a longer career if he keeps the Dancing and showboating than if he wouldn't

I had Bivol on 7-5 but I could not care less who won because I'm happy that there was an undisputed scrap again so soon after the Usyk Fury one

Props to callum Simpson for calling Whittaker out for bottling it 👏

It did look like he took the way out, but that was the smarter way out if you thought you'd already lost.

I love Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank Sr. As for Benn Jr, he's a drugs cheat, and Eubank Jr the horse bolted long ago. Disappointed with Ben Whittaker quitting. But when you're getting it back as good as you give it and a cherry on top, the doubts start to creep in. Wardley really does know how to bang and I hope Clarke makes a full recovery. As for the B n B fight, I really don't know what to make of it. I honestly couldn't call a winner out of the two. 🥊

Ben Whittaker was found out against a proper boxer , just like all the other fakes that believe in hype rather than honing their craft and character.
