PS - just want to say that this is actually my first time having a newborn and not being on "mat leave" with an employer with a deadline for when I need to be back to an office full-time... and the reason that I'm in that position is because of YOU guys and all of your support for my channel. Thank you so much for being here, for watching, for praying etc - feeling a lil sappy because you've changed my life and have given me the gift of time with my babies without a deadline... 😭if you're reading this you're a blessing to our fam!!

Hi! I’m a first time mom of my now 4 month old. There’s so much to adjust to with a baby, but I totally am the type to get overstimulated by visual clutter and general mess as well. I tried several systems over these last 4 months and the one I use now is making a “daily, weekly, monthly” checklist. For example, every day I unload the dishwasher in the morning and load it at night, get 1 load of laundry done, and wipe my kitchen counters. I found those three things make a huge difference for me mentally. Then weekly I have a list that includes bathrooms, floors, changing linens, dusting etc. I check these off as I can during nap times usually. “Monthly” is big stuff that doesn’t need to be done as often like windows, cleaning inside the refrigerator, etc. It’s been a game changer for me to put my little one down and know I have at least 30 min to knock a few things off my “weekly” list which makes my house feel like a nicer place to be all the time.

Seconding this! Also, just give yourself grace and time, because it can feel overwhelming to do loaves! We started with a bunch of discard recipes (sourdough pancakes😋) before we figured out a solid loaf.

I have so much admiration for how you are handling this transition. I currently have a 5 week old and another almost 3 year old and i am hanging on by a thread! Dont know how you have 3 and still seem so put together and sane! Id love to see a video with tips on entertaining toddlers while feeding, strategies for managing multiple kids etc 😊

We just had our second and also decided to hire cleaners to help take the load off. It was really hard for me to accept, especially because ive heard so many comments from my mom about how she had 3 kids and was still able to maintain her home. So I felt like “well if she did it, why cant i?” But ultimately decided to accept the help and it has been great. They come every 2 weeks and it has been wonderful to have that taken off of my load while still adjusting to 2 under 2. I’m glad you took that advice and realized how beneficial it was for you and your family ❤

If you can make it work- hire a cleaning company just like every 2 weeks. I know it’s a lot of money but it’s made my mental health soooo much better. I also struggle with chronic back pain so cleaning kills my back. Now that I have a 1 year old I am glad I can spend time with her as opposed to cleaning. Again I know this is a privilege! But if you can find a way to make it work I highly recommend

I only have 1 baby (4 months), but I also struggle with mess! We moved into a new build when my son was a month old and the combination of moving and not having everything 100% sorted, living in a much bigger house and being home all day instead of at work has led to way more mess than I'm used to. My husband also works from home which is a blessing but it means we are both here creating mess during the day and I was really struggling to get our housework done. I'm lucky that my son is an easy and settled baby, but I still just don't know where the day goes. I've had to adjust my expectations slightly, but I've also found a system that is working for me. I do my best to get a few non negotiables done every day that keep the flow of mess moving: stacking and unstacking the dishwasher, a load of laundry & taking out the rubbish. I also do a 5 minute tidy of our bedroom and make our bed everyday for my sanity. Then I attempt to do what I've called my Daily 5. I have made a big list of everything that I'd like to be a weekly task and broken it down into the tiniest of steps, so rather than clean bathroom, I've put wipe mirror, wipe vanity, clean toilet, swap towels etc and I aim to tick off 5 things from this list every day. Some things take 10 mins and some take 30 seconds and I just pick and choose based on what feels most pressing and what I have time for. It does mean that things don't usually feel clean and tidy all at the same time, but I do get a sense of satisfaction from ticking off my list throughout the week and some days I get more than 5 done. The rest of the time, I just remind myself that he's the littlest he'll ever be and that's more important. Mess will last forever, but this season of life won't and I've learnt that mindset from watching you, so thank you. ❤

This video brought back so many memories! One year ago our second baby was born, they are 17 months apart and it was the hardest season of my life! Little one didn’t let us put him down for the first 2 months, big one couldn’t walk yet and we live in the fourth floor without an elevator…for the first 6 months I needed support to survive 😅 I didn’t like that but I had no other choice! It’s sooo much easier now, I was thinking constantly it’s just a season of life and that helped a lot! ❤

My son is allergic to eggs and dairy so breastfeeding in the beginning was such a challenge because he was so uncomfortable. The pediatrician for some reason didn't believe me and told me that what I eat doesn't effect my milk and she was so wrong!! Once I figured it out and eliminated those 2 things from my diet he was a completely different baby!

I'm not as experienced a mom as you, but I had my second in March and for the first month he was so colicky, gassy, and fussy. I could hardly do anything but nurse and hold him. I literally thought there was something medically wrong with him but now he's 10 weeks old and no more fussy than any other baby. It just resolved on its own so hopefully your little girl feels better soon!

Our 3rd baby is 9 weeks old now but our older kids are 12 and 10 and I'm finding it a HUGE adjustment. I can't imagine 3 under 3. God bless you! The way your baby grunted throughout your video reminds me very much of a noise our baby makes. He has acid reflux and was recently diagnosed with a dairy protein allergy. I'm sure you know the things to look for since your older one had allergies as a baby too. I will be praying you find answers soon. ❤️

Beth your videos give me so much peace about motherhood-I always compare myself to you because our first borns are the exact same age and I am now due with second in a few weeks. You handle everything so well with peace and grace even with another baby in the middle of mine! I would love to know how you incorporated quiet time with your almost 3 year old. We are struggling with that over here. 🫶🏻

youre doimg amazing!! i will say, my daughter was the same way. constantly upset if not being held and would have a period of 1-2 hours a night of screaming no matter what. her was a mixture of colic and a milk protein allergy, which we still face today. im not sure if youre having dairy again but if so id recommend cutting it out and seeing if it makes a difference at all. also investing in a good pair of earbuds. i personally love my air pods pro, they CAN block all the noise if you need it in the middle of the night while rocking a crying baby. or you can have it low enough to still hesr everything but also have that calming music or bible affirmations repeating in your head. it will get easier, she will sleep more, she will cry less. this is all just a phase and you will (probably) miss it one day. ❤you’re an inspiration to us all! praying for you and your family

It is good that you are calling in friends and doing play dates to help you out. I think that is very important. I definitely kept taking my Ritual prenatal while nursing! I have used Ritual for about 8 years now. Thay are amazing. Hope people use your code. I would if I didn't already use them this long. Not sure if it would work for someone with a subscription already. Loved seeing your vlog. Loved your husband's prayer. That is beautiful. I hate messes too. haha. I can relate.

That newborn phase is so magical but equally just as hard (if not more😅). You’re doing amazing ! One thing that we swear by is a chiropractor who specializes in infants and babies/toddlers! They can help with ALL kinds of baby issues - colic, gas, reflux , sickeness etc. I’d highly recommend starting there and seeing if that helps baby Rosie with whatever she’s dealing with! Hugs !!

Hey, I just want to say that I don’t think you have an ideal baby carrier for a baby this small. I booked an appointment with a lady who specialized in how to find a carrier that’s safe for baby’s hip development. It’s essentially that baby’s legs form an M-shape. Their lower legs need to be outside the carrier. Also you want their back to be rounded. And symmetrical. The straps over your shoulder need to be attached to the waistband, not the part of the carrier that supports baby’s back. I’m not sure which band yours is, but even if I looks pretty and even if the company selling it says it’s save, unfortunately it’s not :(
